Outlook.MailIte mClass: "Close" event fires before YesNoCancel dialog

1 New Member
Hi,

I create and open an Outlook.MailIte mClass (opens the Outlook form for wirting an email), and then I am trying to determine when the form is closed (not sent, closed on the X button). I added a handler for the ItemEvents_Even t_Close event, but the problem is that this event is fired before the YesNoCancel dialog (asks if you want to save changes). So my handler code is already executed, assuming the form is closed, then the dialog is displayed and if the user presses "Cancel", the form stays open.

If anyone knows a solution for this, please let me know. There is no property "closed" or something like that.

Thanks!

It seems as though you need a different event that calls ItemEvents_Even t_Close. HTH.

I've just spent several very frustrating hours tracking down a bug in one of my programs. The problem was that I was writing text to a file, and when I was done I coded f.close when I should have been coding f.close()

Hi all, coming from an unmanaged programming background, I took my time to sort out the IDisposable and finalizer patterns. Just when I thought I had it all conceptually neatly arranged, the "Close()" methods reared their ugly (at least it would seem...)heads. I was happily delving away in the .NET framework, investigating the stream classes with the msdn and Lutz Roeder's .NET reflector, when I stumbled upon the following:

I have created an order form that users javascript to create a new html document when the customers clicks the "print page" button. Once the new document has been created it then prints the document and closes it with the following code: <body onload="window.print(); window.close();"> This works correctly (or at least the way I expect it to work under MS Internet Explorer, but it cuases Netscape to "crash"

It works on Konquerer though. I remember it works on IE too. I've tried window.close() too. Doesn't work on Firefox also. I've also tried to create a function. It doesnt work on Firefox also. Bottomline is: Firefox doesn't accept window.close() or self.close()? Are there ways to rectify the issue? Please advise.

In ASP.NET 2005 I have an onblur="window.close()" javascript event in the <body> tag. When I click on the window's scrollbar, the window closes. The same code works fine in ASP.NET 2003. Any ideas?

Assume I have an open Form. Then I click the "normal" window "X" icon (=Close button). How do I assign a function in Form.cs to this event ? In other words if this Form/window is closed I want to perform some exit statements. When I doubleclick on a "normal" button I am autoamtically taken from the designer pane into the source code editor pane and a new function is automatically inserted. This is not the case for a system button like...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
