Hello Pythoners,
I'm currently writing some Python to manipulate a semi-structured XML
document. I'm using DOM (minidom) and I've got working code for
transforming the document to HTML files and for adding the 'structured'
elements which populate the higher regions of the tree (i.e. near the
root).
What I have to do next is write some code for working with the 'less
structured' elements towards the 'leaf ends' of the tree. These are

What's a good way to find a specific text node element in a web page's DOM
tree? I thought of traversing each node but there has to be a faster way.
Is there a "find text node by nodeValue" function or something? I do know
the nodeValue (text string) of the text node.

Why does Firefox insert #text nodes as children of TR elements?
As a work-around for older Safari versions not properly supporting a
table row's cells collection, I used the row's childNodes collection as
it was pretty much exactly the same thing. However, in Firefox 1.0.7
text nodes are inserted between the TDs. I'm certain that this didn't
use to happen with older versions.

Alright I needed some help regarding a removal of a binary search
tree. Yes its for a class, and yes I have tried working on it on my
own, so no patronizing please. I have most of the code working, even
the removal, I just don't know how to keep track of the parent, so
that I can set its child to the child of the node to be removed.

I'm new to visual basic but have been playing around with extending the treenode functionalities. I found out how to make it so that after a user clicks on a node in a tree a windows object such as a radio button pops up in the location where the tree node is. I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
