C# / ASP.NET WEB How to disable span tags that accompany ASP.NET label

1 New Member
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to disable to span tags that appear in the place of ASP.NET labels ( <asp:Label ) after it has been processed by the server. I have a style sheet that I am trying to apply to a web page and these span tags are causing problems. I am using C# for my codebehind file. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

ASP's Label tag is defined as a <span>
You can try ASP's Panel tag, which is defined as <div>

You can supply CSS classes to objects and override their base CSS settings. (along with various other ways)

Like if you have CSS that applies to all <SPAN> tags, you can then have more CSS that only applies to things you have determined to be "mythings"

so all <SPAN> could have green text, unless there is a <span class="mything" > in which case the text can be red.

I am sorry if that is confusing, but it's almost vacation time for me, yeah!

Does anyone know what is the way IE treats span tags(<span>) and table tags(<tr>, <td>)? Should the <span> tag be encolsed in tds and trs if it placed with other elements that are in a table? Can the span tag itself contain table tags within it? I have some scripting code and when I wrap the span in table elements it does not find the html within the span. Labels render as labels and so on. However, when deploying the site onto a different server, all my Labels render as <spans>, even in IE. I don't understand what's going on, I haven't had this happen to me before. What discrepencies...

Hello, I'm trying to implement a navigation bar with a ul in css. The code is a template, but i'm customizing. I can handle just text in each block, but i want the first block to have an image and then text, which I'm doing with a span element. I think i need it that way to handle text positioning of the text. So there's an anchor block, and inside4 that i'm putting an image and a span block.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
