How do you write pure text out from a label? I don't want the <span> tags.
For example:

I am having a problem with a span. I have items, of which I only want
to show the first X characters on the screen. If the user prints the
page, I want the entire item to print.

Does anyone know what is the way IE treats span tags(<span>) and table
tags(<tr>, <td>)? Should the <span> tag be encolsed in tds and trs if
it placed with other elements that are in a table? Can the span tag
itself contain table tags within it?
I have some scripting code and when I wrap the span in table elements
it does not find the html within the span. Here is an example....

I have several disabled asp:checkboxes in my table, but when i open this
page in Netscape 7, Disabled property is ignored. Offcourse in IE is all
perfect!

Hello,
I have a site which I've been developing locally with VS2k3 Pro. I
have some browsercap information in my web.config to help identify
Firefox as an upscale browser. It works great locally. Labels render
as labels and so on.
However, when deploying the site onto a different server, all my Labels
render as <spans>, even in IE. I don't understand what's going on, I
haven't had this happen to me before. What discrepencies...

Hello,
I'm trying to implement a navigation bar with a ul in css. The code is
a template, but i'm customizing. I can handle just text in each block,
but i want the first block to have an image and then text, which I'm
doing with a span element. I think i need it that way to handle text
positioning of the text.
So there's an anchor block, and inside4 that i'm putting an image and
a span block.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
