Hi,
I know there are a few free and paid php source code encryption
scripts around. Has anyone used one, and any feedback?
I am interested in encrypting source that is placed on a remote host.

There are two methods in RSACryptoServiceProvider to verify signed data:
VerifyData(byte buffer, object halg, byte signature)
VerifyHash(byte rgbHash, string str, byte rgbSignature)
What is not clear to me is, why the second method (VerifyHash()) needs OID
of used
hash algorithm. Probably, it is used to compare it to the OID saved in a
signature.
But, when there is OID to compare to, then why VerifyData needs the

Hi,
Using the RSA-crypto algorithm in .NET , when actually encrypting/decrypting, all the code samples I ran into always used something like, to encrypt :
// create keypair and store in container
CspParameters param = new CspParameters();
param.KeyContainerName = "NewKeyContainer";
param.Flags = CspProviderFlags.UseMachineKeyStore;
RSACryptoServiceProvider rsaObj = new
RSACryptoServiceProvider(param);

Anyone care to express their two cents over pros and cons of encrypting the
data being transmitted (within the SOAP package) versus just utilizing a
HTTPS connection?

Hello all,
It seems that digitally signing XML documents using the SignedXml class has
a bug - or at least a behavior I cannot explain.
The problem occurs when I sign XML documents containing namespace prefixes
and namespace references and then validate it. The validation always fails
(returns false) in this case. When I remove the namespace prefixes and
namespace references from the XML, signing and validating works fine.

Hello out there
can anyone tell me if there exists something similar to
RSACryptoServiceProvider that i can use to encode/decode messages but
just the contrary way?
I mean having a private/public key on some app and use only the public
key on another app to decrypt the messages.
All i want to do is shipping some data to some customers (via email
eg.) but have the data crypted.

Hi All,
I had a question about encrypting and decrypting XML files using asymmetric
keys. I copied some sample code from MSDN, here are the samples:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229919.aspx
The samples I used are the ones near the bottom of the page. (With a slight
modification of moving edElement.KeyInfo.AddClause(new KeyInfoEncryptedKey

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
