Hello,
I'm not a perl programmer but I can kind of hack my way through some
simple scripts. What I am trying to do is get it so a line break <br> is
automatically placed when I hit the return key in a text box in this
script:
http://mosaikum.org/sonst/pws.html
It will add the <br> automatically to the Add Story function, but not
the edit text function. I'm trying to get it to do it in the edit

Hi,
I've read many questions about how to automatically open a new window
from a page using the JavaScript onLoad command.
Unfortunately, due to the web application framework being used
(WebLogic Portal 7), I can not use it as it is already being used and
is only called once by the browser(so I believe).
What I am essentially trying to do is open a "Please wait, this may

Please bear with me, and if you answer this question, please do it
step by step. I am new at Access, not at all sophisticated. I am
using Office XP. This will need to be read in Access for Office 2000.
I am creating a database to track student athletes. I have created
the following tables. The table title is to the far left, with fields
under each. The common field will be the StudentID field, which is
their student number assigned...

I've authored a custom web component (a non-ui component kinda like a
DataSet) and so far it's working. When my web component is added to the web
form in the designer from the toolbox, the namespace for my component is
automatically added to the using directive of the codebehind. And, the
appropriate assembly is added to the "References" for the Web form's
project.
However, my custom component has a field (initialized to null, and...

I'm disturbed on this question on a long time. I think if I finally get
understand it with your kind help, I will get close to a excellent C++
programmer. And I only can rely on your expertise and help. I've read
some books, but no book focuses on this. Don't you think it is a very
important thing of C++ programming language? So your knowledge is of
great benefit to others, especially me.

Here's one that should probably have the sub-heading "I'm sure I asked this
once before, but ...".
Two users are both looking at the same data, from a database. One user
changes the data and commits it. How does the other user get the updated
view without polling for changes? Is there some sort of callback mechanism
that can be set up on the dataset or connection?
TIA

Hello,
I am looking for a method to automatically declare variables in C.
I'm not sure if there is a good way to do this, but I had something
like this in mind...

I'm using Access 2003 and have looked through this forum and found a few topics that are quite close but haven't given me the answer I need.
I have one form with just two fields (number & name) in them. When ever a new record is added to this table (through the form) I'd like to automatically add that record to another table with those two fields (plus other fields). Ideally, I'd like to do this for multiple tables. Where would the command...

I'm trying to add the current time + a randomly generated time w/
millisecond precision, but the numbers aren't making sense.
If I add rand_time + now_time on my calculator, I get a different result
than what's in sched_time. Anyone see what I'm doing wrong?
These are my results ..
rand_time = 4958.128418
now_time = 1225033344.000000

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
