I am looking for a function that takes in a string and splits it using a
list of other strings (delimiters) and can return the delimiters as well
as the extra parts of the string. I was trying the split with a regex
built up of the delimiters separated by "|", but it doesn't return the
delimiters which I need.
The goal is an algorithm that can take a string containing html code using
<ul>, <ol>, and <li> and turn it into a formated...

The standard split() can use only one delimiter. To split a text file
into words you need multiple delimiters like blank, punctuation, math
signs (+-*/), parenteses and so on.
I didn't succeeded in using re.split()...

All,
I have an import spec set up with quoted Identifiers and comma-separated
values. The text file is produced by a 3rd-party program of which I have no
control. It outputs all text fields surrounded by quotes, and all numeric
fields w/o quotes. All fields are separated with commas.
This has been working for 2 years, until today, when one of the data fields

Im trying to write a program that should
read through a binary file searching for the character sequence "\name\"
Then it should read the characters following the "\name\" sequence
until a NULL character is encountered.
But when my program runs it gets a SIGSEGV (Segmentation vioalation) signal.
Whats wrong?
And is there a better way than mine to solve this task (most likely)

Now, I'm here with another newbie question ....
I want to read a text file, string by string (to do some things with some
words etc etc), but I can't seem to find a way to do this String by String.
Is there anyway, like String s = something.ReadString() ?
Or what may be a fine way to do this ? Only thing I can some up with is to
read 1 char at a time, and look if the next char is a space-sign, and that
way "make" the Strings myself....

It works fine, but when I have read the data of a record I have to re-Debug
the form to read another record.
So when I put a new seek item in the textbox after I searched for an item
and click the seek button.. it seems it is doing nothing.
And also... what code can I use to genereate a messagebox message when a

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
