Hi,
I've run into a rather odd problem. get Methods seem to return values
from the wrong methods! For example, let's pretend my activex control
stores values about a person. getName would return their age, while
getAge might return null! Something is also going wrong with my method
that accepts input and returns a value (okay, it is a money conversion
program!)... it is returning null!
They are consistently returning the same, wrong...

I'm writing an application in VB.NET that uses various 3rd party
ActiveX components. My problem is that if I register these ActiveX
components (using COMSelfRegister) during the install and later
uninstall my application, the ActiveX components are removed -
breaking any other applications that still need them. If I don't
register the ActiveX components, and they are not already installed on
the computer, my application will not run.

Hello all,
in VB6 we were able to create ActiveX-DLL's (In Process Components) and
ActiveX-Exe's (Out of Process Components).
We habe build up an application that exists of an main module (Standard Exe)
that calls and controls other modules (ActiveX-Exe).
We decided for ActiveX-Exe because they run in different processes. That
means if one module shuts down, the others are still alive. Second reasons

I have the SystemMonitor ActiveX control on a form and I try to register a custom performance counter.
I expect that after registering the counter with the OS, the user would be able to add it through
this System Monitor ActiveX control on the form.
Yet, the Add dialog of this ActiveX does NOT contain the already registered counter.
Does anyone know what might be wrong?

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
