I have an application composed of one .exe, several supporting .dlls, and
several plugin .dlls the app discovers and loads at runtime. The .exe does
not make any compile time references to this last group. How can I customize
the ClickOnce process to include files in this last group?

Hi!
I made ClickOnce deployment for Windows Forms VB 2005 application, and
it's working mostly fine. Now I have some question:
1. Is it okay when my application goes into x:\Documents and
Settings\...-directory in target computer, or is there something wrong
with my ClickOnce deployment? I assumed application(s) goes into
x:\Program Files\... -directory.

I have an application which requires a number of DLLs (unmanaged ansi C dlls)
to reside in the same directory as the application. I currently have these
dlls included in the project folder and marked as "content".
When I publish the application with ClickOnce and update my application -
these dlls (along with a .chm help file that doesnt change) keep being
redownloaded. From what I've read in all of the ClickOnce marketing hype, it...

Hi
I have a rather advanced deployment scenario and wanted to know, if anyone
has an idea how to accomplish that with ClickOnce:
We are deploying a 3-tier application with a client connecting to web
services, which then connect to a database. The tiers are all on different
nodes and we have around 1000 client users. We currently deploy the web
services with Wise and adjust the database (cluster) manually. The clients
should be...

Repost from dotnet.general (no response), and OT but I hoped somebody
might have a clue...
I have a handful of ClickOnce installs that work fine almost
everywhere... however, on some machines it simply does nothing! These
are regular VS2005 ClickOnce "publish" deployments, signed with a
valid certificate.
The client correctly detects the MIME, prompts the user, downloads the

Hello!
I've a few questions about ClickOnce in VisualStudio 2005. The
installation of my application works fine, I published the files on a
webserver and installed the app on a winxp client, updates works also
fine. But here's my first question:
- Our app produces xml-files on startup, which stores several
informations like gui-settings etc...now when I publish a new version
and my app updates, this xml-files rested in the old folder...

Using VS2005, I am deploying a WinForm application with ClickOnce. The
project contains a ReportViewer2005 control, so there is a prerequisite for
the ReportViewer2005.dll.
The ReportViewer.dll that is included with Visual Studio 2005 works fine on
my (developer) pc, both within Visual Studio 2005, and after deployed, from
my pc. However, this is not the case with the user's pcs. When they
download the ReportViewer2005.dll from...

hi,
I like the Publish function comes with VS2008.
But 3 questions remain: how to make update path to be flexiable? Because I
will give those updates to my cutomers, and different cutomer will use
differnt server/shard path.
And after install on client machine, where does it copy all files? Because I
have a configure file need user to modify it. Each cutomer has hundrends

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
