Error : Use custom IListSource as a datasource for BindingSource

1 New Member
Hi, I create custom entity objects, a custom collections for the entity objects and a custom object that acts like a collection of the custom entity collections which I called EntitySet Object. The EntitySet is used to bind the entity collections to windows form bindingsource in design time. After 2 weeks of bloody coding and reading really "Helpfull" msdn docs, thanks to http://www.freeweb.hu/noiseehc/ finally I've managed to create the entityset and bind it to a bindingsource in design time. But Unfortunately, the bindingsource list shows 0 count, while the entitycollectio n itself shows 1 count. Please kindly help what's wrong with the code.

public TypedEntitySet( )
{
entityCollectio nsDescriptor = new EntityCollectio nTypeDescriptor Collection();
entityCollectio nsDescriptor.Ad d(this, "City", typeof(EntityCi ty));
entityCollectio nsDescriptor.Ad d(this, "Shipment", typeof(EntitySh ipment));
}

public System.Collecti ons.IList GetList()
{
return this.entityColl ectionsDescript or;
}

The EntityCollectio n itself simple a custom object thich inherits from BindingList<T>.

Thanks.

Anyone seen this? Know if its a bug? I'm pretty sure it is. I have a DataGridView control in a tab control who's datasource is a table in a dataset. In certain situations when I add a row to the datasource table I get the following exception which seems to be a bad reference inside the control itself. Any ideas? Here's the exception: Thanks.

Using a loop for each record found ( such as For i = 0 To oResponse.historicalData.Length - 1 ) no problem to load a datagrid. However, when I try to bind directly the datasource to the web service

I've got a project I've been working on for a few weeks. I've been using the BindingSource control - I've got four of them on this particular form. This morning I went to view the report in the designer and got: Could not find type 'LandarcBL.Budget'. Please make sure that the assembly that contains this type is referenced. If this type is a part of your development project, make sure that the project has been successfully built....

Hi all, I have a bindingsource hooked up to a datagrid. When I fill the datasource parameter, do I need to check for InvokeRequired... or does the bindingsource asynchronously handle the fill? Thanks!

Hi misters, I used the Data Sources window to drop a custom object onto the designer surface. It created a BindingSource and BindingNavigator as a result. When I open the Properties window on the BindingSource, I see DataSource property set to the object I created.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
