Generic Host Process for Win32 Services....

Hi, I have a Acer Aspire 3610. When Windows first starts up I get a error
Message saying "Generic Host Process for Win32 Sevices has encounted a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Then when I
click to see the error report this message comes up " The Following files
will be included in this error report:
C:\DOCUME~1\use r\LOCALS~1\Temp \WER9c4dir00\sv chost.exe.mdmp. And
C:\DOCUME~1\use r\LOCALS~1\Temp \WER9c4f.d.r00\ appcompat.txt.
After this message comes up I cannot get any sound on my computer. When I
try to click on the volume icon it comes up "There are no active mixer
devices available." I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the message
that comes up on startup or not. I reinstalled the sound drivers and they
work fine untill this message comes up again. Any help would be great! Thanks!

The garbage handler in the .NET framework is handy. When objects fall out of scope, they are automatically destroyed, and the programmer doesn't have to worry about deallocating the memory space for those objects. In fact, all the programmer has to worry about is the total sum of objects loaded into RAM at any known point. Memory leaks are not a problem. .... So one would like to think. The reality is that delegates and event...

Hi, This problem has been frustrating me for days and I hope you experts can help me out. I am trying to run a command, which I would normally run from the command line, from within my C# application. The command runs successfully from a Windows Form but fails if the application is recasted as a Windows service. The application is essentially a File Watcher that should run the process when a file is dropped into a specific directory. ...

Is there a way to host the mappoint control in vb.net? I don't want to use the web service because the destination system will not have internet. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
