Hello,
In Python, classes are objects. But there is no way to custom print a class
object. This would require some syntax such as the one commented out below:
With the current "foo = classmethod(foo)" mechanism custom printing for
class objects is not possible.
#!/usr/bin/python
class Foo:

I'd already posted this in microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.windowsforms
and microsoft.public.dotnet.framework.windowsforms.controls to no avail so
apologies for the cross-posting.
Hi,
I'm writing a usercontrol which displays the typical two listboxes and the
ability to move items from one to the other.
The listboxes are populated with my custom objects (SwapItem), which simply

I'm trying to pass a custom object back and forth between forms.
This custom object is pulled into the app using an external reference
to an assembly DLL that was given to me by a co-worker. A query-string
flag is used to indicate to the page whether it should instantiate
a new instance of the object or access an existing instance from
the calling page.
On the both pages I have a property of the page which is an
instance of this custom...

Hello,
I'm currently developing a web service that retrieves data from an employee
table. I would like to send and retrieve a custom employee class to/from the
webservice. I have currently coded the custom employee class and have built
it as a separate library (employee.dll). This employee.dll is being
referenced by both the web service and the windows application.
I face the following problem when I send this class to the webservice.

It seems that the ASP.NET Microsoft team didn't think about this!!
The profilemanager class has the following methods:
- DeleteInactiveProfiles. Enables you to delete all profiles older than
a specified date.
- DeleteProfile. Enables you to delete a profile associated with a
specified username.
- DeleteProfiles. Enables you to delete a set of profiles.
- FindInactiveProfilesByUserName. Returns a collection of ProfileInfo

I'm in the process of expanding my knowledge and use of Class Modules.
I've perused MSDN and this and other sites, and I'm pretty comfortable
with my understanding of Class Modules with the exception of custom
Collection Classes.
Background: I'm developing an A2K .mdb to be deployed as an .mde at my
current job-site. It has several custom controls which utilize custom
classes to wrap built-in controls, and add additional functionality....

Has anyone come up with a slick way to make Custom Serializable Objects to
behave like DataSets when using WebServices? What I'm looking for is some
way to force the WSDL generated code to create a reference to my custom
object's namespace instead of creating it's own copy of the object in it's
own WS namespace. Either that, or some easy way to move all of the
properties from the Custom Serializable Object into the WSDL generated
object...

What is the recommended approac in passing that object to the web service

Hi all,
We have a N-Tier framework and we now create a Web Site App to wotk with
this architecture.
I add reference from my libraries in the project and creating page and
controls is very easy, using my objects. But, it's seem that I cannot create
report using Crystal Report with my objects. I created classes in the
app_Code folder and yes, I can use them but, it's not the way I eant to do
it. I want to use my classes from my dlls.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
