Hi,
I'm trying to bind a custom collection class to a data grid, following the
guidelines from the article
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/05/08/CollectionsandDataBinding/default.aspx.
The problem is the article is in VisualBasic. I already get the collection
to be recognized as a Data Source by the IDE. It populated the DataGrid
correctly from the fields on the items object of the collection, but I can't

Hi,
In my application, on some given actions while debugging in Visual Studio, I
suddenly get a "System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception was unhandled"
Message="Error creating window handle." exception.
The problem is that this exception isn't raised somewhere in a method, so it
just shows up, and it causes the application to shut down.
Is there anyway how to catch this kinds of exceptions? Can I put somewhere a

I use a mutex to disallow starting a second application instance. This
did not work in a release build until I made it static member of my
MainForm class.
In a debug build, first instance got ownership, second did not and
terminated. In a release build, the second instance *also* got
ownership. I "fixed" it by making the mutex a static member of my
MainForm class.
Did the garbage collector eat my mutex because it is not referenced

I have developed a custom control that, among others, includes a property that is a collection of "Items".
If I place an instance of my control onto a CF form, I can view all of the properties correctly in the property grid and my collection appears with the ellipses ready to open the collection editor. Click on the ellipses and the editor opens correctly and I can add and remove items in the collection.

Hello,
I am fairly new to programming VS2005 Windows Apps, but am highly
experienced in VB6. I am used to creating data access forms in VB6 using
code for connections, commands, etc. Should I be looking at drag and drop
methods in VS2005 or is the best method still coding all data access?
