Hello Everyone,
I am hoping someone could help me out with this.I am using Visual
Studio .NET 2003 to create a web application on a remote IIS 5.0
server using the File Share web access method.The problem is I get the
following two errors everytime I try to create the application:
Error 1:
The web was created successfully, but an error occured trying to
configure the application root of this web.Web projects may not

I want to get a users SMTP address by passing in the NT credentials using
some C# code.
The environment is NT4 domains (NT4 and NT2000 servers) and Exchange 5.5.
(Active directory is not used)
The NT4 environment uses 'objectsid' to hold the NT Account. Exchange 5.5
uses 'assoc-nt-account'.
Although I can interrogate the two values in both environments using C#

I have forms based authentication working, using my Active Directory for
authentication.
I have a web page that creates a user in active directory. When I was using
IIS authentication it worked fine, now it doesn't. I'm assuming it's
running in the context of the IIS anonymous user. How can I get it to run
as the user that logged in with the forms based authentication?

that I'll be working on. I went to Amazon.com to look for a good book on
this subject but found books on this subject all using C++. Can I make ADSI
and LDAP API calls using C#? Can someone recommend a good book for this
subject with C# as sample code?

authenticated against this non-AD directory services), will the
WindowsIdentity object (obtained through WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent static
method) in any .net application have necessary group memberships available?
