I have created a function to kill all session variables
that aren't in a safe list. This is the function -
Sub PurgeSessionVariables
For Each Item In Session.Contents
Select Case Trim(Item)
Case "Authenticated"
Case "CI_CODE"
Case "organisation_description"
Case "location_description"

All,
I'm new to ASP development and I have a basic design question:
Is it ok to store business objects to session variables or is there a better
way to keep object information?
For example, if a user logs onto the website, a user object is created that
stores their full name, email address, street address, phone, etc. This
object also has methods to do 'other' things such as validations, counters,

Hi,
I have a web application in which I need to restrict user access to 1
session per user. I've done this my creating a cache entry when a user logs
in, and checking on subsequent logins for that entry, and refusing access if
the user is already present.
However, this gives me a problem if the user forgets to log out, as they
then need to wait until the session time out before they can log in again.

Hello !
To kill a session i used KILL -INT <PID>.
This command wasn't successfull. The processus is still here when an
'ps ax' or a 'select * from pg_stat_activity'
Is there an other way to kill this process only because a web server
24/7 use postgres and cannot stop postgresql now.

I have a website that requires users to login. We track them by using
sessions. We record the time and date that they login, their session
id, the last page they visited, etc in a database. As as admin, I
would like to be able to login and force a logout of other users logged
in. Is this possible? I have looked online but there doesn't seem to
be any information that addresses this.

Does anyone know of a good way to kill the session of a single user?
I need to locally simulate the arrival of a user at a given point in my application
and then them waiting sufficient time for session to expire.
A perfect solution would be a winform app which I scould run on my dev box
to monitor the sessions of a given app. I would use this to see when the
session is generated for the user as I log in to my app and then have a...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
