with other swing components..will this be okay? i've read that swing and

Hello:
I am encountering a very weird issue with MDI child, Overriden WndProc
function and hidden form.
Basically, the application has two forms, Form1(parent form),
Form2(Child form), Form2's WndProc method is overriden, if the message
is CLOSE message, just hide the form. I first initialize and show the
child form, then close it by clicking the Close(X) button, the
overriden WndProc method gets invoked, and the form is hidden. Then

Hi All,
I just wonder if in C#, I can develop a user defined control that can call
its parent function which is not yet developed. For example, how do I make
my user control call a to-be-developed-function cmdOkay_Click() function as
described below.
1. Create an user control that contains an OK button as below
Public Class MyButton:System.Windows.Form.UserControl

The form itself is used at the entrance point of the app:
Application.Run(new MainFrame());
Now i tried to use this to hide the Form and show up the trayBarIcon with
this in the constructor of the form.

This was easy in C++ (well, relatively.) Now I'm in the C#
environment and everything I try doesn't work.
I'm running a thread in which I have two accesses I need to components
on a form. In one instance it's to simply check the text of a button
as an indicator of whether I've got a request to end the thread. This
is a read-only situation so I don't have to worry about
synchronization. The other is a need to write status information...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
