SoapHttpClientP rotocol thread safety issue

Hello

Is the SoapHttpClientP rotocol thread safe?

Can I have on client and then multiple requests are made from different
threads?

What about Asynchronous requests? are they thread safe or not?

Regards,
Elias

Greetings everyone, Here is a random string generator I wrote for an application and I'm wondering about the thread-safety of this function. I was told using static and global variables cause potential problems for thread-safety. So far, I'm only confused. I need a proper explanation for the concept so I can understand how to write thread-safe functions in the future. My apologies for posting a long routine.

for example i have static readonly SqlParameter and i want to clone them at runtime. as clone operation will not write to SqlParameter object, just reading, should i lock that object during read operations?

Hi, I have a web service called GetComputerNameAndDescription which I can call from the main thread of my app. If I call it from a separate thread, however, it hangs on the call to Invoke() -- but only if I'm in the debugger. Here's a stack trace with non-user code shown -- the call to RegisterNotifySource, at the top of the stack, never returns -- I have to do a "break all" inside the debugger, then find this thread and examine its call...

I have a working client-side Vb.Net (.net v1.0) app that talks to a Webspere webservice on a windows 2000 server. The client side app runs on a citrix server, also a Windows 2000 server. The app worked ok till I installed .Net v1.1 on the citrix, now I get an error when I get the app to use .NET v1.1. If the app uses .NET v1.0 (with .NET v1.1 stalled), then its ok, however I must use v1.1 for other reasons. Has somebody come across...

We are evaluating some old code that was written as part of our math library. This code uses some optimizations that I'm not sure are necessary or safe, but is a source of debate between my coworkers. Method 1 includes a temporary storage varriable at class scope. Method 2 includes a temporary storage varriable at method scope. Method 3 includes a temporary static storage varriable at method scope. Are any of the methods better than...

Hi all, All of the classes in my DAL are static, with constants defining the stored procedures and parameters. I've been having some problems with my site which makes me wonder if there's a thread safety issue. Are consts thread safe? Would the following example create any thread safety issues? Would you recommend using static readonly members instead of constants?

Hi, I implemented a small logging library with the API like this: logger& log = log_manager::instance().get_logger("my_logger"); log.stream(DEBUG) << "this is a debug message" << std::endl; log.stream(INFO) << "this is an info message" << std::endl;

Hi all, Does anyone have experience on the thread-safty issue with malloc()? Some people said this function provided in stdlib.h is not thread- safe, but someone said it is thread safe. Is it possible this function evolves from thread-unsafe to thread-safe in recent years? How could i find out? I am using the C library coming with GNU linux distribution. thanks a lot.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
