This is the wierd problem: While accessing the built in .NET functions for
'profiling' or 'membership' an error is generated (see following 2
examples):

OK, I read and read again information on using the logon control, 'custom
providers' but none are really helping me out with creating a provider to
go against my database to validate the users logging into my web app. What
happens when a user logs into my site is, 8 queries are executed, 1 verfies
the user, and the others get data pertaining to that users id, so drop downs

Been working on an site for a little while now, complete with
login-functionality and all. (Yaaay!) However.... I created a site on our
webserver, and copied the whole site up there. The site runs fine, but any
attempt to login fails.

I have a small console app that started out in dotnet 1.1 in VS 2003. That
version can be copied to a W2K3 server where it runs fine.
I set up a new project in VS 2005 and copied the code files from 2003 to
2005 where they compile and run, no problem. When I copy the two files (exe

My ASP.Net application, that uses the SQL Membership Provider, runs fine on
my development box (server2003) as long as I use the standard provider.
But, in anticipation of deployment to other servers I am attempting to
register another provider instance.

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
