I'm trying to get PHP authentication (using the headers to request
authentication, and then checking $_SERVER and
$_SERVER) - however, no matter what I do, I can't seem to get
it to work. The login request box pops up fine, but when I enter the correct
details, it just pops back up again, and then again, before finally dumping
me at the authentication failed page. I've tried looking at phpinfo(), and
PHP_AUTH_USER and PHP_AUTH_PASSWD are...

Is there a way in PHP to know what all the content-types that Apache knows
about are? Basically, what I want to be able to do is look at an extension,
and then know what content-type Apache would send by default it that file
was requested via HTTP.
Is there a way to do this?

I am testing a web application (using the DBX PHP function to call a
Postgresql backend).
I have 375Mb RAM on my test home box.
I ran ab (apache benchmark) to test the behaviour of the application
under heavy load.
When increasing the number of requests, all my memory is filled, and the
Linux server begins to cache and remains frozen.

I'm having some odd issues, but I'm not sure exactly the cause of them,
but postgres is the component in the system that is throwing the errors,

I am starting the design phase of a large project (ERP) where the
backend will mostly be Python (or Ruby) providing web services.
In this type of usage, is there any benenfit to running under Apache
as opposed to a pure Python solution using Medusa, TwistedMatrix, or
the like?
