How to call dotnetUsercontr ol events in vb6.0 application?

27 New Member
I have created one dotnet Usercontrol and I am calling that control in vb6.0. Some controls existe in the dotnetcontrol such as textbox, combobo x etc.I want to save the usercontrol values into database table. It is possible by clicking the button located on the DotnetUsercontr l. But now I have a save button located on the vb6.0 form and the form includs that dotnet Usercontrl, I want to save that values into database by clicking the save button. My problem is that I cannot get the logic how to capture the buttonclick event of that dotnet Usercontrol and how to call that event from dotnetcontrol in vb6.0 button click event.

please give suggestion .

I am trying to determine if C# has the capabilities to listen for system events when the application does not have the window's focus. I am writing a windows application that I would like to run in the background when I am using my computer. I would like this windows application to utilize the clipboard, and determine when data has changed on the clipboard. I would also like my app to listen for Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V events, as well as mouse...

First, the subject probably doesn't use the correct terms but I'm not sure what it's called in VB. I'm writing a media player app. The subroutine that handles the "open file" button contains an If statement to see if a file was already playing and if so executes some code to stop the previous file from playing among other things. There's also a "stop" button on the form that contains the exact same code. Obviously it would be easier if...

Hi all! Sorry for the cross-post, I really have a difficult problem and need some help badly. I have a VB6 ActiveX component (dll) that listens to a real-time data feed of stock quotes (built in an OCX) and then passes them on using events. The consumer of these VB6 events is a C# dll using .NET 2.0

I have a Thread making a callback to a Form function that alters Form data. Of course, the debugger is telling me, "Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'FormTest' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on." But I am locking before I touch the shared data, so do I actually need to worry about this, or is it just the debugger being oversimplistic? Specifically, I have:

Hi, Is there any way in which I can monitor / hook the Registry, and upon a call to a specific key from a specific application - swap the returned value? I was thinking of using this method to overcome the "click" sound of the WebBrowser, without having to affect the Registry permanently. This way I could monitor the call for the sound file to be played (located in

I don't think this should be this complicated, but I can't figure it out. I've worked with C# for several years now, but in a web environment, not with windows form. I have a form with a query button on it. If the query returns multiple results, a new window is opened with a grid containing the results. When the user double clicks on the desired row in the grid, I want the first form to populate with the correct data. I don't know how...

Hi there I'm hoping someone can help me out with the use of the Eval function. I am using Access2003 under WinXP Pro. I can successfully use the Eval function and get it to call any function with or without parms. I know that any function that is passed to Eval() must be declared Public. It can be a Sub or Function, as long as it's Public. I even have it where the "function" evaluated by Eval can be in a form (class) module or in a standard...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
