Com port no. cannot be higher than 20 to sync via Bluetooth, but both BT
Devices and IVT Blue Soleil assaign higher no. when I connect my Smartphone
SPV C550 to my PC runnig Windows XP sp 2. Does anybody know how to solve this
problem? I can sync using the usb cable and transfer files with Bluetooth but

I hate to tell you this, but this is a .Net Programming newsgroup, not a
Windows newsgroup. Try looking for a group with "Windows" in the

Good luck.

Thanks for your invalueable help. I thought posting questions regarding Microsoft products in Microsoft Discussion Goups/General Discussions was the right thing to do. That was my first ever and probably last post in such Community. By the way, in case you wonder, I did solve the problem and, should you post one, in the right or wrong newsgroup, I will do my best to help you. Good luck

I'm glad you were able to fix your problem. There are dozens of Microsoft
newsgroups, and you should pick the one that more closely matches your
problem. This one is for .Net Programming General Discussion questions, not
for Windows. You are welcome to post your Windows questions here. I just
thought I would tell you why they are not going to be answered rather than
letting you sit there and wonder.

Please, Robin, stop helping me. I do not just sit and wonder when I encounter a problem in Real or Virtual Life. I seldom ask for help in general and never before on the internet. As it happens, like the majorities of the replays I get when I do, this one too proved to be useless and not for the reasons you think. Please, forget about it and don't waste time replying.

Hello,
I am trying to write asynchronous serial port.
meaning, read and write operations are made via async cllbacks.
so far so good.
I open my port in continues state:
1)Set the BytesToRead property of the serial port.
2)open the port
3)generate read request
4)meanwhile generate write request.

I have a big problem. I am trying to use serial communication in C# 2. The
problem is that the event DataReceived is never fired. I have tried on two

also does not work.
I did not find any useful information on the net.
Do you have a small...

When I send a 'global' message, all the connected units...

I am trying to send a character to '/dev/ttyS0' and expect the same

Test Set up:
1. Send '%' to serial port and make sure it reached the serial port.
2. Once confirmed, send another character.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...
