Hi,
I have a form with a tray icon. However, when I minimize the form, it
stays visible - not in the task bar (I have showintaskbar property set
to false), but in a form of a rectangle sitting above the task bar.
Can't figure out why that happens - it looks very ugly...
Any ideas ?

Hi Everyone,
I'm facing an annoying problem and any help will be most appreciated .
.. .
I have a main application form and its icon is functioning excellent:
it appears both in the taskbar and whenever you switch using the Alt +
Tab keys.
At a certain point of the code I'm creating a new form, using a
different thread for this task in order to prevent 'blinking' until

I have written an application that contains a notifyicon
that will not dispose or end when Windows shutsdown.
I have seen other posts where people are experiencing the
same issue (see post in the csharp group), so I know that
this is an issues for others as well.
Does anyone know how to capture the Windows Exit/Shutdown
event?

Hello,
I'm making an application, but sofar I can't get its icon to appear in the
task switcher. I have created an iconfile with three icons in it: 16x16,
32x32, 48x48, 24bpp. I have assigned it to the Application's icon property
in the project properties and I use it as the image for each form. The
application starts and uses it correctly, I also have the correct icon in
the system tray when it is minimized. But in the tray switcher all...

I am using VS2005 (vb) and I have a program that starts when Windows boots
up. Occasionally the icon that should appear in the system tray does not
show up. The program is still running in memory but the tray icon is not
there. If I start the program after Windows has booted up the icon shows
every time. I am assuming that the reason is due to the icon being created
before the system tray is loaded/running. I have used a timer with...

Hi,
How do you remove an icon from the task switcher menu?
(The one you get with ALT-TAB.) I think I asked this before
but never got an answer. Now I have another app that
shows an icon for each form in the task switcher menu.
Only one for the application is needed.
Thanks,
Gary

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
