2005 RTM:
Have a form, quite a few control, (full form of stuff, tab pages, buttons,
labels, text-controls etc)
Selecting controls, going in and out between code/design view is a little
bit sluggy, but still doable
Add a Toolstrip, add a few buttons to that toolstrip

Hello,
I'm still reimplementing the GUI of my app using the new toolstrips. My
current problem is to autosize a combobox to the available with in the
parent toolstrip. There are some buttons left and right of the
controlhost which contains the combobox. The right buttons are
rightaligned and I now want to fill the available space between the left
buttons and right ones with the combobox. But I can't find a fitting
property and changing...

Hi,
I have been developing web applications for a while now.
However, as I was thinking through the architecture I really don't
understand the "How server can identify between which buttons has made
the postback request.???"
for e.g.
I have a webpage default.aspx.
I place TWO or more server buttons on it.
Create server-side event handlers for each of the buttons.

Hi,
I have a toolstrip with several buttons, I can only see the image assigned
for each button in design time and not on runtime. I've tried several
different formats .bmp, .png, .ico for these buttons without any success.
Does anybody experienced this issue before? do you have any idea what might
be causing this behaviour
Thank you very much for your help or any suggestion

Hello,
I have no idea how this is happening.
I have a TabControl on the form, and in one of the tabs I have a ToolStrip
with a few buttons and Grid.
Every now and then I look and the ToolStrip has disappeared, when I bring it
up in the Properties Editor the Visible value is False.

If you host a ComboBox in a ToolStrip, setting DropDownStyle to
DropDown or DropDownList displays the dropdown without affecting the
height of the toolbar. I want to emulate that behavior for a custom
user control that will consist of a TextBox and a "suggestion" ListBox
that appears beneath the TextBox as the user types in the TextBox.
Currently, I'm finding that the ToolStrip height dynamically increases
when my ListBox appears (similar...

Hi,
I am using a toolstripDropdownbutton on the toolstrip to populate the
menuItems.
The toolstrip is on the Customtaskpane of the window.
Problem comes when the focus is on the customtaskpane, user opens a dropdown
menu and without selecting any menu from the dropdown click on the other part
of the window. The dropdown remains open and even the user switch to other
window it remains open and does not hide. It only hide when user click on...

It's kind of hard to explain (so if you need more just ask) and any
help would be greatly appreciated.
I am writing a side-by-side file manager. On each side I have a
DropDownButton that holds either the root name or the Favorite name
for the current path. I also have a DropDownComboBox that has the
current full path as well as a series of paths that lead back to the
root (i.e. "C;\Program Files\Microsoft Office", "C:\Program Files", "C:...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
