I'm trying to create a satellite assembly for my winform project but
the resource.dll that gets created with the assembly linker (al.exe)
doesn't get used when the language is specified. However, if I create
the satellite assembly in VS by compiling the project with the the
translated .resx file, then the resource.dll is used.
My project has a default resource file embedded in it (strings.resx).
I
also have a translated version of the...

Hi,
I am building a asp.net application which has satellite assemblies. When
building the satellite assemblies dll's from Visual Studio 2003 GUI the
application works fine . i.e. the resource dll's of different cultures are
loaded correctly. But When I build the satellite assemblies dll's using
al.exe the application defaults to the culture neutral strings. I am using
the command line below to build my resource dll's.
al /t:lib...

After adding large number of empty resource files (which will be updated
later), we are not able to compile the project. the following is the output
of the build process. It fails while compiling the Max.UI.Win project with
the following error

missing.

Guys!
I've been playing about with some code trying to get the
satellite assembly resource files to work.
From what I understand you must have a fallback for a
particular language, as well as specific regional
variations of that language in the satellite dll. That,
I can get to work.

In ASP.NET 2.0 you have the choice of using the built in
App_GlobalResoruces or App_LocalResources style of using resources or
you can use your own resources utilizing satellite assemblies. In the
SDK under "Resources in ASP.NET Applications" the documentation
demonstrates how to use your own satellite assemblies and instructs
you to build a folder structure under the bin folder. Following all of
the correct procedures (taking an resx file...

I have recently migrated an ASP.NET 1.1 web application to ASP.NET 2.0.
In this application I am storing all my resources in satellite
assemblies and I am accessing them via the ResourceManager object.
However, the ResourceManager is no longer returning the resources from
the satellite assemblies; it appears that it is always using the
fallback resource assembly (neutral); which in my case is the resource
assembly that is embedded in the...

Hi!
I have a question to loading resource-files to my application during
runtime.
Is it possible to get all languages for which a satellite assembly
exist during runtime?
I want to show a ComboBox with all installed languages and I want to
add a language dll resource without rebuilding the application!

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
