How to update the publicDelegates property in Active Directory?

Hi, can anyone tell me how I can update the publicDelegates active directory
property using vb.net 2005 and System.Director yServices. I understand the
publicDelegates property to be where 'send of behalf' rights are set.

I have been able to update successfully simple properties such as
telephoneNumber but I am not sure how or if I can update the publicDelegates
property.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks
Jeanine

I need the code to update the database when Save is clicked and a text field has changed. This should be very easy since I used Microsoft's wizards for the OleDBAdapter and OleDBConnection, and DataSet; and all I'm doing is showing one record in text fields, allowing the user to modify the text fields, and then updating the database again when the user clicks the Save button. The fields already show the correct data record since I have...

Hi, I am trying to store a thumbnail picture in ActiveDirectory, but am having some problems with type conversions. According to the documentation the Thumbnailphoto property in the directory is of typ OctetString, and i belive i read somewhere that i can use the convert.ToBase64string function to convert a byte array to a octetstring. This seem to be working since i can insert a image with the code:

This MSDN article http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180913(vs.80).aspx and this codeproject article http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/everythingInAD.asp both show the same c# code for enabling and disabling active directory accounts. I'm trying to do that to a local user account and it's not working

I need to be able to read and add to the collection of email addesses for an Active Directory User with a mailbox. I assume that this is a collection object. However I can't find any help on which technology to use. I can create and access the properties for a user using System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry and then create a mailbox using CDOEXM.IMailboxStore which adds an e-mail address automatically. There is an email property on...

Hello, I'm building a web app where I like to query my users from active directory. The code I'm working on it works fine for a user where all the properties that I'm query are filled in. I'm trying already for a week to check if a property is empty but I'm stuck. I need a method how I can check if a property is empty so I can use a string like "property empty". after testing I bring the AD up-to-date. I hope there are some...

Hi all, First post here. I'm porting an application I wrote in VB6, over to VB.NET 2005. It could be said I'm really struggling with some (most!) of the syntax of VB.NET 2005, but I'm getting there. I'm relying a lot, at this point, on sample code from Microsoft, and other forums about the Internet. One thing I've painfully noticed (hence the title of this post) is .NET

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
