I want to know the differences between SQL Server 2000 stored
procedures and oracle stored procedures? Do they have different
syntax? The concept should be the same that the stored procedures
execute in the database server with better performance?
Please advise good references for Oracle stored procedures also.
thanks!!

I am getting an sqlcode of -927 when I execute SQL within a COBOL stored
procedure in DB2 OS/390 Version 6 on OS/390. I have looked at the error
message for that condition and tried everything I could think of to resolve
the problem but nothing works.
The stored proc is running in the DB2 Stored Procedures Address Space and
both the client and the proc have DSNELI linked into their load modules. The
client and proc are running in TSO via...

Hello Team..
No, I am not posting in the wrong forum :).
I meant to check if the MS pros have read/heard of anything about
Oracle Lite 10R2 and its support for .Net Stored Procedure..
Oracle docs show that it only support java stored proc (on Windows 32
not CE), but do not show if it does not support .NET stored proc. the
docs show that Lite 10g R2 does NOT support PL/SQL stored procs....
Can anyone please help if you have any info or...

Hi, I am a SQL Server programmer using Oracle for the first time.
In our .NET client apps which use a SQL Server back end, we would use Stored
Procedure exclusively for all database access for increased security as well
as the pre-compiled advantage.
To minimize trips to the db server, we would often call SPs that return more
than one recordset. For example:

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to call a oracle stored proc from .net code and I am getting
an error
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to KSSP_MEMBER_NEW. I
counted all the number of parameters that I am passing and they seem to be
ok, but type can be the problem. In oracle stored proc , the type is defined
as for example: dayPhone IN MEMBERTable.DayPhone%type
In my ocde I am definig day phone as DbType.string...

Can someone tell me how I can access the return value of a function
called from Oracle as opposed to a store proc from oracle? my oracle
function is get_num_dates_varposfile. I am only used to using this
method with store procs that dont return a value back to Access. Hope
this makes sense.
Set Cmd = New Command
With Cmd
Set .ActiveConnection = get_XE_Conn 'makes a connection

Hi
I have a jsp page with 4 columns: namely Category name , Category order, Input field and a submit button.
All these are aligned in a row. And Each Category Name has its corresponding Category order, Input field and a submit button.
The Category name is being fetched from the oracle db along with the corresponding Category order.
In the corresponding input field (text box) the user enters a new category order which gets stored in the...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
