Hi wise people, Has anyone encountered the Crystal Reports problem I describe below? If so, how did you solve it? It seems that every article posted on google regarding CR and logon problems is still unanswered. I think I'm cursed. I originally created a crystal report which connects to a sql server server db on the same dev machine and it worked just fine. I tried to move it to another computer, but now I have to connect to an Oracle...

I'm not sure why this is happening. I'm trying to run a late-bound report. My original code looked like this: TableLogOnInfo logOnInfo = new TableLogOnInfo (); logOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.ServerName = "<server name>"; logOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.DatabaseName = "<dbname>"; logOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.UserID = "<user id>"; logOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.Password = "<password>"; logOnInfo.TableName = "Student";

My Crystal reports are being supplied the logon credentials via a C# code class that recursively loops through all the tables present in the reports and applies the login credentials (Servername, databasename, userid and password). This setup is working fine when i have it working within my domain (office network) where the server is another box (SQL svr 2000). The login credentials are being read from a web.config file and everthing seems to...

Hello, I need help. I have experience in ASP.NET programming, but this is my first dealing with Crystal Reports. I'm trying to make the most basic report purely for testing purposes: connect to the remote SQL DB and create a report on one of the tables. Every time I do it, I get the Logon Failed error (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LogOnException: Logon failed) The internet search shows that this is a common problem,...

Running Crystal Reports with the hotfixes and patches & VS 2003. I created a CR report on my development server which has SQL Server. The report runs fine inside Visual Studio. When I switched the source of the DB to the production server using the 'set location' option in CR and ran the app again, I get "Logon Failed" error message. The database wizard worked fine so this tells me CR was able to connect and retrieve the schema from the...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
