Why do you use the word public in a function, when the function is fully
accessible without the word public in front of it.
I read the help, but did not really get it.

Hi,
I have stored some word documents as old objects in an access database
and I am trying to retrieve them using vba and then merge them - i am
pretty happy with merging through vba (done when documents are normal
word docuemnts) but can not seem to get vba to recognise the documents
within variables. Please could you supply the code - or snippet -
which can display this?

I would like to insert a new record in a Ms Access database and retrieve the
newly created ID (autonumber).
I would like to do it in VB.NET for an ASP.NET page. ( no asp)
I found several examples on the net, but most of them just work with
sql-server (@@indentity), or use just asp with includes etc.
Hope someone can help me with a 'working' example...

insertion contains a ' or a " this code fails. It is much better to work
with @parameters.
So could someone change my code to make it work with @parameters and that I

I need to trap an insert on an MS access table that uses a generated
typed table and row setup. I have to trap the insert and then hook up
and get the autonumber value for the insert. I have googled this and
cannot find a typed solution to the problem. I either abandon type
safety or solve this problem.
I have to work around 'Refresh the data table' that is greyed out.
