Hi,
In my application, In the main form tab control is there. For this im adding a tabpage which contains a user control, this usercontrol contains many windows controls and other userdefined controls. In this Usercontrol a panel is there, which is a parent control for all reamaining controls. In this panel, a splitter control is there, in this splitter control left side i have another panel. In order to resize the controls based on the form resize, i set all these controls anchor properties to (left, right, top, bottom). In the last panel control, im placing a user control which contains datagridview control. Now when i executes the project. The child panel control overriding the parent panel control and split container control. Because of this im unable to get the horizontal scroll for the datagridview. But the vertical scroll is working fine. How can i solve this problem.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.... .......

I haven't been able to figure this out and would

I have two tables, both with autonumber primary
keys, and linked in a conventional master-child
relationship. I've created forms for both those
tables, and inserted the child table form into the
master table form as a subform. It works just as
it is supposed to, in that I can create a new master
record, and then add detail records.

Hi,
I need to create a simple parent/child hierarchical menu. I have alread
used the Treeview control but my requirement is slightly different than
the Treeview control. I already have the kind of menu I am talking
about, written in Classic ASP, but I need to write the entire menu thing
in Asp.Net using CSharp.
I have a Sql table which has large number of menu items with problemId
and parentId, through which I am trying to create and...

I did a ton of searching to try and find a simple solution to this issue and finally wrote my own, which I am sharing with everyone. In my searching, I did find a very complete and robust solution at
http://weblogs.asp.net/asmith/archive/2003/09/15/27684.aspx
but it was far more complex then I needed. (I got lost trying to figure it all out). Therefore, here goes my simple "web dialog box with parent event handler fireing" solution.

For some reason, when I click the X to close my MDI parent form, the action
appears to be re-directed to one of the MDI child forms, and the parent
remains open. I am then unable to close the application.
What should happen, is that the main MDI form should close, taking the child
forms with it. There is code to loop through the child forms, remove the
controls on each of them, and then close the form, but this code should
execute only...

Hi,
I have an MDI application that uses a generic "ShowPage" routine in a module that is called when I want to display a child form. The basic idea is that in the module I have declared each form as follows:
Friend F0 As frmMain
Friend F1 As frmStart
Friend F2 As frmSearch
Then in my ShowPage routine (which is passed a string "pageToShow" which is the name of the form I wish to open), I first check to see if we already have an instance...

Hi:
New to C#,
I have a MainForm (parent) that can potentially have multiple child forms (in a tabbed interface).
Mainform has closing event defined for "Close All" (through a menu option) which basically gives user list of all child forms and asks if want to be saved or not.
Similarly, each child form has "Close" which gives a warning about closing that specific form without saving.

..NET 3.5: I have placed two controls at the top of an Mdi parent form.
The top-most control is a Panel that is docked to the Top.
Immediately below the Panel is a user control that is Anchored to the Top,
Left, and Right.
At runtme I can drag Mdi child forms toward the top of the Mdi parent. The
child forms slide beneath the user control and Panel, hiding the top portion
of the child forms beneath the Panel or user control.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.

I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
