reading cell color in excel and assign it to a variable

33 New Member
Hi All,

In my class im reading each and every cell with the help of indexes like [1,1].... . From this im reading the Color value of that cell.

Now i want to assign this color value to some other property which looks like

public color setcolor
{
get { return m_Color; }

set { m_color = value; }
}

setcolor = (Color) cell.font.color ,

but while executing this statement im getting an error, like unable to cast. Can Any body help me.

Thank You.

I have an excel file on my server, which contains an embedded query. I want to be able to open the excel file, pass the contents of my variable into a cell within the worksheet and then refresh the query based on the variable passed. I can get the query part to work. The bit I can't get to work is where I open the excel file and pass the variable into a cell. I have tried various things and although excel launches without error, I can't...

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue where using vba code to read an excel file and import the data into an access table some records are not imported from the excel file. It seems looking at the data in the excel file that if the first character in the excel file cell is numeric it will read and write only numeric values only. If I sort the coloumn in the excel file and the first character in the cell read is alphanumeric then only...

I have about 400 rows of data in Excel. Each Row is a record set. I want to read each cell in each row into VB6 (one row at a time) and then do calculations on the cells in the same row and then rewrite them back to a new Excel file. When my progam starts I'm able to assign (for example) A1 to a variable and B1 to a variable, and so on and can then do my calculations. But how do I make my program go to the next row (for example) A2, B2,...

Hi, I wanted to append a cell of an Excel file. Basically, the excel file is not taking more than 256 characters for a cell at a time. So i thought of breaking the varaible into 2. n copying it one by one. But hte 2nd variable needs to be appended to the first variable in the Cell. I had posted something on related topic sometime back (http://www.thescripts.com/forum/thread682464.html), and i was able to find out that there is some...

I'm using an excel sheet to keep track of a number of variable links (a few thousand) in a very large compiled matlab model. I have a python method that checks a variable link to see if it actually exists in the model. I have also been able to loop through all variable links with VBA to verify their validity by calling the python script. However, this takes very long time. If I add a new variable link (a string in a cell), I want to be able...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
