Missing sub objects in serialization

Hello all,

I have a webservice that I am calling via wsdl.exe generated code that
is missing sub-objects when the soaphttpclientp rotocol.invoke method is
called.

The basic layout is

<Envelope>
<Header/>
<Body>
<SubmitJob>
<SubmissionDate >'date_object '</SubmissionDate>
<JobInformation >
<JobName>'strin g_object'</JobName>
<ProductionDate >'date_object '</ProductionDate>
</JobInformation>
</SubmitJob>
</Body>
</Envelope>

I set all the objects in the proxy object and call the webService
method 'SubmitJob' and I expect the above layout to be passed to the
webservice.

However, the <ProductionDate >'date_object '</ProductionDated oesn't
exist in the message. Instead, I get

<Envelope>
<Header/>
<Body>
<SubmitJob>
<SubmissionDate >'date_object '</SubmissionDate>
<JobInformation >
<JobName>'strin g_object'</JobName>
</JobInformation>
</SubmitJob>
</Body>
</Envelope>

It's weird since the date_object that is a top-level parameter shows
up, but the date_object that is a sub-object does not. I've also have
the same problem with Integer objects

Any ideas what I need to do to fix this.

Thanks,
James

I am trying to find a solution that will allow me to use XmlSerializer to serialize/deserialize a collection of objects where a given object is shared between two or more other objects, and not create duplicate XML representations of the shared object, but instead use IDREFs to refer to the shared object. The XML I'm trying to produce is as follows (where "href" is an IDREF): <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <MyRootClass...

After doing a search through google's archives of this list, I didn't see what I was looking for so here goes... Is it possible to serialize/deserialize multiple objects from a single XML file? I was looking to use the XML serialization to be able to translate complex XML elements in a single XML file through XML serialization as opposed to using SAX and coding my own serializer. However, the XML Serialization API appears to only...

I am having a problem deserializing XML when the root node is missing a namespace declaration. My Type has an XmlTypeAttribute with a namespace defined. If I attempt to deserialize the XML, I get the dreaded <elementname xmlns=''> was not expected exception. If I comment out the XmlTypeAttribute, it works just fine. Just so you know, when I instantiate an instance of an XmlSerializer, I pass a default namespace to the ctor. ...

Hello Jon, et all. I am working on a framework with context bound objects (models). The objects expose common functionality, such as the ability to get a serialized Xml representation of an object (and its hierarchy if available). In order to guarantee that wellformed Xml, I use an XmlTextWriter on top of a StringWriter. I didn't even look at a custom serialization service, as that would be like reinventing the wheel (atleast thats how...

Hi, I have some questions that are a little difficult to explain, so I give it a try... I have an application (aSP.NET with VB.NET codebehind) and I would like to store my data on disk because the users could continue later on there project with the same data already filled in. So I would use the soap-serialization to store the info (the nested objects, collections, ...). I think this process will work very well, also the

Hi, I have a WS client. All the code is generated by VS.NET 2003. For me its seems that an attribute is not generated during sending the request in the SOAPHeader. The problem is with RFCSendingValue. There the attribute 'groupeid0 isn't generated in the SOAP request.

I've got a parent object that is a collection and it in turn is hosting 2 child objects. My searlization has worked perfectly to plan in as much that I wanted to dictate the names of the objects and properties via XMLatrributes with a prefix of "THE_.."....except for the name of the child objects. This should say THE_NEW_Child but instead still persist in saying "NewChild" (Child properties are as planned) What's the solution?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
