I got a solution that contains about 30 projects, three of which cannot be
open. When I open the project, I always receive the error message "Unable
to get the project file from the Web Server"
My machine is running Windows 2003. My colleagues are using the same
hardware and software as I do, but I am the only one running into this

I am getting this error when I tried to browse any asp.net in visual
studio.net. I can build the project but when I try to run and debug the
project I get error message that "Unable to start debugging on the web
server. server side error occurred on sending debug HTTP Request.
I am running WinXP Pro SP1 with all hotfixes and VS.NET 2002 and .NET

Hi everybody,
My problem seems a bit clichè but I could not work around.
Well I read lots of MSDN papers and discussions, but my problem is a bit
different from them. When I tried to run the project in debug mode (by
hitting F5) it gives an error message

I have a win2003 server workstation with multiple webs, each web has it's
own ip address. In VS2005, if I select to open an existing web site, select
Local IIS, the dialog correctly displays a list of all of my webs, however
if I attempt to open a site under and web other than localhost I receive the
message:

I am running VS 2005 with Service Pack on Windows 2003 server.

Hi I have both vs 2003 and vs 2005 runing on a machine that has windows xp on
it with iis 5.1. Everything works except I can not debug a 2003 web
application. I looked in IIS and it is using framework 1.4 it also runs fine
outside of debug mode.
The 2005 web applications run fine both in debug and non debug modes. The
web.config of the 2003 web app does have debug = true.
Any suggestions? thanks!
