Yes I have googled for newsitems about this, and I found a trillion documents. But pardon me if I think most doen't help to clear up the mist. Tried this once before and again I am caught up in copying libmysql.dll and php_mysql.dll all over the place and still I get that annoying error: Unable to load PHP_mysql.dll So maybe someone has the one correct answer for me to this question:

I think this is called a "briefcase model" I am trying to set-up a situation like this: Web server with contacts database (lots of tables relating to each other) Lots of clients connect to the web server to update local database then use the data off line. Clients update local data then need to connect to the web server to update

I have a client running Access 2000 on a desktop (win 98) acting as the 'server' and a Sony Viaio notebook (win 2000). They are synchronising and the data on the laptop is continually getting corrupted. The symptoms are either relatively minor but very irritating such as a) not finding records based on the primary key, so all records being displayed or b) queries showing duplicate records (doubled up) for no reason whatsoever, when all...

Hello, I have been desperately trying to programmatically authenticate a windows user, create their credentials, and then redirect them to a different server while passing the credentials at the same time so that they don't have to login again. Specifically, I have two webservers in the same domain. When I have a user go to Webserver A (which uses basic authentication) I programmatically create either a user credential or impersonate...

The unexpected problem is this - say, 2 pcs called A and B, both running my Access program, both arranged in a FE/BE arrangement. There is an unbound form in the program. When the form opens all the fields are populated with the required data from the required record. When the form is closed every field is saved back to the relevant record, whether it changed or not. I now realise this is wrong - eg on machine A a name field changes from...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
