My first RSS feed - some readers don't see when it is updated

Hello folks,

I created my first RSS feed last week.
http://aebike.com/dir/319/files/dailydeal.xml
The linking page is http://www.aebike.com/get/deal/

Some readers are not detecting when it is updated, even though I am
correctly (i believe) updating the pubDate and lastBuildDate tags. I am
having trouble with WizzRSS on FireFox and IE6 on Windows XP (not
confirmed).
After I update my feed and check it with WizzRSS, it does not show that
it is new, or show the new content. If I restart firefox, it will. If I
don't restart firefox it will eventually figure out that it is new, but
not for hours or days later.
Any help would be appreciated.

I'd try adding a pubDate for the channel as well as the item. Optional,
but there'll be something out there (maybe WizRSS) that doesn't use
lastBuildDate when it ought.

Otherwise use non-RSS 2.0 (like Atom or RSS 1.0) as these have metadata
that hints when it's worth checking the feed again in the future. RSS
2.0 (apart from clouds, which few can support) is able to say if
something is new when they've already read it, but has no way to
suggest when they ought to try checking for it again.

Apparently all that is necessary for an RSS feed reader to auto-discover an RSS feed associated with a page received and rendered by the browser is to include the following on the page : <head runat="server"> <title>Untitled Page</title> <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="RSS Feed Test"...

Is there a free service out there that you can give them a URL, and they will generate an RSS feed for it? My usage is that there are some websites that do not have RSS feeds. Not sure if copying and pasting a...

Hi folks, I'm trying to figure out this whole RSS feed thing. I've created my .xml file to use for my feed, and my browsers "recognize" that I have an RSS feed, and you can subscribe, etc., etc. Here's why I "think" I want to use an RSS feed, and what I'm confused about. I have one file (and one file only) on my web site that changes

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows.
