I have installed .net 1.1 on my pc with service pack 2,
but my copy of Office XP now runs windows installer to
configure Office XP on most actions.
For example, I use Access XP with a lot of the Microsoft
OCX controls such as the TreeView control. Every time I
open a form in design or run a form the Windows installer
starts. Even the help file runs the installer!
I have left the installer to run through and complete,

Visual Studio. This has been going fine and I'm up to about the 20th
version that I've rolled out while I'm still developing parts.

Hi All!
I have been trying to install dotnet framework 1.1 for some time without
success.
The error I get is:
Error 1304 Error writing to file
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.Net\Framework\v1.1.4322\System.Drawing.dll.
Verify that you have access to that directory.
Now this directory (V1.14322) I presume, is created by the installer so I

I have a user of a windows forms dotnet application, which is
installed using WI, who is unable to install the application.
She gets an error message: 'The installer was interrupted before could be installed. You need to restart the installer
to try again'
The user's PC has a split hard drive (C: and D: drives). C: is
formatted to NTFS and houses the OS; D: is formatted to FAT32 and
hosues the users data.

I'm trying to install the dotnet framework 1.1 on a Windows 2000 Pro, SP 4
box. I've downloaded dotnetfx.exe and am installing from c:\temp.
This is the error message that I get: Error 1606. Could not access network
location %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools. The
folder exists and I've given full permission to it to everyone, so I don't
think this is some kind of security issue.

there is the dotnetfx Installer for v1.1 Service Pack 1 for download.
It seems to that this download does NOT contain (cumulative) v1.1 (without SP).
Is there another version which already contains v1.1 + SP1 in one installer ?

There is a patch to upgrade UAB2 to dotnet 2 on gotdotnet
But, as normal, there are no instructions on what to do to patch the
Microsoft UAB 2 install.
Can Microsoft please upgrade their UAB2 installer to support dotnet 2 now.

Howdy, I have a fresh install of vista ultimate sp1 which I am trying
to install visual studio 2008 to.
When I run the installer it basically stalls at "Setup is loading
installation components", doing nothing (a copy of the
dd_install_vs_procore_90.txt log is available here: http://pastebin.com/mf8b203
.. The dd_error_vs_procore_90.txt is empty. ). I was not able to google
