Unavailable Password for NT

I have recieved a computer with no acompanying information. In other words I
don't have a password to logon. The machine was thrown away because the hard
drives did not work. I have fixed that problem by cleaning the PCI bus slot
that the hard drive controller was plugged into. (Now the machine Boots). But
I have no password for the Windows NT v4.0 Operating System which is on the
C:\ hard drive. (Boot drive). The Computer was given to me because it did not
work and it is very old, 1996. the C:\ hard drive has 187mb of free space, so
I am asuming that I have to proceed with a parellel installation of the
Operating System - Windows NT v4.0 - This is where I am stuck. I don't know
how to proceed with the parellel installation, or which registry files which
I need to replace with a matching set from the parellel instalation. What
Directory are they in - ? - systemroot\syst em32\ ?filename(s) ? -
Winlogon.exe, Samsrv.dll, Samlib.dll ? ( I don't know... ), aren't those
files associated with the encrypted system key which this machine doesn't use
?. Need Help.

Windows NT is a *secure* operating system; it is not normally possible to
access the OS unless you have a password.

What is the point of installing a parallel OS? You still will not be able to
use the first one and it will just sit there taking up disk space.

Simply insert the installation disk for the new OS and remove the old
partition, when asked to choose a destination partition, before setting the
new partition.

Howdy, I have multiple apps running on a pair of dual-processor Win2k IIS servers, neither of which are domain controllers. My users are experiencing fairly frequent (10-20 / day) "Server Application Unavailable" errors. I'm using a custom "Server Application Unavailable" page to send me an email whenever this occurs. I also have a ProcessHistory page that leverages ProcessModelInfo.GetHistory() to show me what's going on at the...

Hi All! I have a ASP.NET 2.0 site that works on the Windows 2000 Server. However, when I tried to view this site on my local Windows XP machine, I get "Server Unavailable". If I switch the Windows XP IIS back to ASP.NET 1.1 then I get the Configuration Error (which is understandable because I'm trying to run an ASP.NET 2 site with 1.1 framework). I can however view other ASP.NET 1.1 sites on my local Windows XP machine. It's only the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
