I have a managed C++ method that wraps unmanaged code and creates a
managed object holding data retrieved form an unmanged one. I want
create an instance of this managed class in C#, pass it to this method
and have it set the instance to hold the right data.

Hi there!
I've been having a lot of difficult trying to figure out a way to convert
a terminated char array to a system::string for use in Visual C++ .NET
2003.
This is necessary because I have some legcay C code that needs to process
a string taken from a textbox, then I need to re-display the string as the
textbox->Text. I easily found how to convert from system::string to char
but I can't figure out how to go the other way!!

I've got .h files and .lib files for a C language API that I need to access
from a C# assembly.
For the sake of this question, assume there are two .h files (ctap.h and
rtap.h) and three .lib files (a.lib, b.lib, c.lib). There are six functions
to be accessed (void afunc1(int), char afunc2(char ), void bfunc1(float),
double bfunc2(int *), void cfunc1(char), char cfunc2(char )).

Hi All,
I have some older C++ code that reads databases via ODBC and converts
data to C++ null delimited strings. I amd writing a tool to read
these types of old C strings and update an XML file.
The XML file is being loaded by managed classes. I want to convert a
c string to a C++.net string class. Or, more correctly, take a C
string and put it into a C++.net string. Something like the following:

I have an existing VC6 application using the MFC.
I am able to pass CString and other parameters from such a VC6 dll to an
unmanaged MFC dll (compiled in Visual Studio .NET).
Now I want to use .Net functionality, i.e. calling methods in managed code.
How do I pass CString variables for input and output usage, i.e. providing
