I need to know when the select element's dropdown list is opened (as when the user clicks on the arrow or does ALT-downarrow from the keyboard). Similarly, I need to known when the dropdown list closes. The closing of the dropdown list can happen without changing the dropdown, hence the onchange event is not a sure way to determine that the dropdown list closed. Is this possible in Internet Explorer?

I have two dropdown lists. Both have autopostback set to true. In both dropdowns, when you select an item from the list, it redirects to the Value property of the dropdown. Nothing fancy. Let's say you select 1 of the items, and are properly redirected. You press the back button. I have three servers providing two different functionalities: 1. After pressing the back button, the item you selected in the dropdown is still selected.

I have a couple of DIV's that I hide/display based on radio buttons. On the DIV's, I have multiple drop down boxes. The source shows that they are populated, but I can't make them drop down. Only click on the Unplatted Radio button, the rest isn't functional, yet. Any ideas how to make these drop down in FF. This works in IE. Here is the code: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Door County Register of Deeds - Tract Inquiry</TITLE>

I posted this earlier, and got no response. Basically I need to be able to grab a value from one of the fields in a gridView to populate a dropdown in another column of the gridview: I have a gridView that has 2 templated columns that contain drop-down lists. The first drop down list uses a value off of a formview on the same page for filtering. The 2nd drop-down is supposed to use the value off the first drop-down for it's...

Hello All, I have a webpage that has two dropdown listboxes. Based on what is selected in these dropdown listboxes, it filters a DataGrid . That works fine. In the DataGrid , when I go to edit a row, I change the textbox (or other control), click Update, but it doesn't save my data. I then did this... In Page_Load, I added code to filter the DataGrid only when it was Not Page.IsPostBack. Then the editing/updating of the DataGrid data...

Here's one that should probably have the sub-heading "I'm sure I asked this once before, but ...". Two users are both looking at the same data, from a database. One user changes the data and commits it. How does the other user get the updated view without polling for changes? Is there some sort of callback mechanism that can be set up on the dataset or connection? TIA

Initial content page displays data from correct place. first change of dropdownlist correctly updates content...

This seems like it should be simple to do but for some reason I have been unable to make it work. I would like to databind a SqlDataSource to a GridView during the click event of a button. This sounds easy but the next requirement is that the GridView is editable. So I have included the SelectCommand and the UpdateCommand on the SqlDataSource to allow the GridView to be editable. I have now been able to get the GridView to display data...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
