Compilation error in while debugging

1 New Member
In my programme written in vb.net an erroor is comming in RELEASE mode while dubuging, but not giving no error while debuging in DEBUG mode.

To describe shortly about my programme it is like this:
Backend DATABASE: SQLITE 3.0
Interface: MAPX5.0
Programme Flow: Calling 1 dll and 1 exe, both are written in C#.

I have checked all queries in the Sqlite browser; All are working fine;
In my programme every steps are debugged finely;Still the flow is going into the Catch block as, I have used error handler.
Can u say me why the error is comming? or wat will be the possible way to avoid this probs.

I am having some trouble debugging a project that is set up to be Registered as COM Interop. I will try to explain the problem here: If I add some code to the project, to for example the xxx.cs source file, when I compile it seems to go okay, no errors or warnings, but when I try to debug the project afterwards it acts as if it has not compiled the newly added code, and it has NOT either, it is jumping over code lines and showing...

I'm getting this error and Microsoft's site states that the way we are using our libraries is unsupported and the error is by design (go figure). My setup is simple and why it isn't supported is completely unclear to me. 1.) 2 Web Sites in solution, 1 DAL library, 1 BLL library, 1 Schema library (all in same solution). 2.) DAL and BLL libraries are inheriting ServicedComponent, referencing and importing System.EnterpriseServices,...

Hi, We have an ASP.NET application built in Release mode via Visual Studio. All of the C# code is in the code-behind files (i.e. *.aspx.cs files) and there is no C# in the *.aspx files themselves. In this scenario, will the following setting have any detrimental effect if left set to true when running a Release build described above?

I have a number of web projects converted from 1.1 to 2.0 in VS2005. I am methodically seeing the error below: The element 'compilation' has invalid child element 'compilers'. List of possible elements expected: 'assemblies, buildProviders, codeSubDirectories, expressionBuilders'. Here's what the web config looks like. The error doesn't cause any issues and according to the MSDN documentation this is valid. So why is VS2005

Good morning everybody, I have been dealing with this strange issue for almost two days: I got stuck and I can't get out of it. I built up for the first time in my life (I'm quite new in stuff like .NET, C#, Visual Studio, windows programming and so on...) a Windows Service. Debugging it in Visual Studio (Express Edition) everything worked fine, but debugging it "live" I found a strange behaviour. My application must dynamically compile...

Why doesn't C# allow incremental compilation like Java? Specifically, in Java I can compile single .java files in isolation. The resulting individual .class files can be grouped into .jar files. In C#, there appears to be no analog. I have to compile all my .cs files into a single .dll. This has serious drawbacks in terms of compilation. With Eclipse, I change a file and only that file is re-compiled. With Visual Studio, I

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
