Could you please describe more of what you are talking about. It sounds like this is not a .NET programming questions. In general you use Group Policy settings to lock down a workstation. As far as security for a web app on the client side, you do this via IE (also in Group Policy). If you give more details, maybe we can give you a specific answer. Otherwise, you can find books on Windows Administration on http://www.amazon.com

i would like to explain the scenario here
i've windows 2003 server domain controller
VS.NET 2003, sql server 2000 for databases
we develop windows and web applications,

when users logging on to domain getting this error while debugging.
error while trying to run project: Unable to start debugging.
Access is denied. Verify that you are an administrator or member of the 'debugger users' group on the machine you are trying to debug. After being added to the debugger users' group, you must log off and log back on for the settings to apply.

when they log on to local machines with administrative rights they can work.

I could use a little friendly advice! Could a few of you good folks share with me a description of your configuration. Since '95 I have been a contractor developing applications using Borland Delphi (Object Pascal) creating win32 C/S stuff. Having recently completed amy last contract I decided to try my hand at dotNet stuff and get some experience on the microsoft side of the fence. (Kind of like taking a walking on the Wild Side)

== Introduction to DAF == I am interested in the next generation of approaches to software development. Over the last decades, there has been an obvious shift in how our most complex software is created. We started off with punch cards (or so I am told -- I was born in 1981 so apologies if my history is off or my ideas are naive), punching in a stream of ones and zeros. The code contained only 0 and 1 and everything else was...

Hi, I have a production, test and development environment for my web application and a web service (The test web application connects to the test web service, and so on). Is it possible to let the web services location be set in e.g. Web.config? I don't want to recompile the web application every time I move it to another environment, nor do I want the code to be much more complicated than with a hardcoded location. The web service...

(Forewarning, most of these problems and solutions come from being the only developer in a 1 server department with no budget, few resources, unresponsive IT, and non-technical managers, so thats where I'm coming from.) (Additionally, this may or may not fit in this group, but I know there's bright people here, and it is largely PHP development centric) Any time I've done web development, I've always been plagued by some of the...

Hi, I'm using PHP 4.4.4 on Apache 2 on Fedora Core 5. PHP was installed using Apache's apxs and the php library was installed to /usr/local/php. However, when I set my "error_reporting" setting to be "E_ALL", notices are still not getting reported. The perms on my file are 664, with owner root and group root. The php.ini file is located at /usr/local/lib/php/php.ini. Any ideas why the setting does not seem to be having an effect? ...

I am designing a site that requires AnonymousID. I set my web.config to allow this using <anonymousIdentification enable="true".../as recommended in the documentation. To verify the settings I use the following code in global.asax and stop the execution using debug to inspect the settings. Configuration configuration = WebConfigurationManager.OpenWebConfiguration("/SessionManager");

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
