Passing XML DOM as IDISPATCH object to COM DLL

Hi Group,

I have seen your query for processing XMLDOm from c# to COM dll.
i also need to paas xml node to COM dll.

object refdomCallConte xt = null;

XmlDocument docXML = new XmlDocument();
docXML.LoadXml( "<?xml
version=\"1.0\" ?><CallContext> <Application>Es sbase</Application><Us er>user</User><ID>367629 121</ID><ClientAddre ss>127.0.0.1</ClientAddress>< Operation>Logon </Operation><Task Description>Log on
to
Enterprise</TaskDescription ><Language>EN U</Language></CallContext>");

refdomCallConte xt = docXML;

EntAppClass entapp = null;
entapp = new EntAppClass();
IEntApp ientapp = (IEntApp)entapp ;

objStatusCode1 = entapp.DoLogon( ref refdomCallConte xt, "", out
vtRetLogonXML, out vtRetPOVXML, out vtStatusDesc1);
when i am accepting this in com Dll the first parameter is coming as
VT_UNKNOWN. but it should be VT_DISPATCH.

can you give me some suggestion for this problem.

Gaurav

I am working with the MSHTML editor control. I used win32com.client.gencache.EnsureModule on the MSHTML type library to generate the necessary IDispatch support for all the various interfaces used by MSHTML. I have just implemented some of the necessary custom COM interfaces/gateways to allow me to take control of MSHTML's right-click menu. One of the callbacks that MSHTML makes (and I've implemented) is

Hello there, We're new to C# and have noticed a strange behaviour which we don't yet understand. We wrote a COM DLL (in VC++ 6.0) which performs some calculation based on some double arrays passed as input parameters to the DLL through the SetParams method defined as follows: interface ICliquet : IPricable

Hello, I need to write C# class, that would implement IDispatch interface to be used in ActiveScript. I can't use IReflect interface here due to design issues, I need to handle GetIDsOfNames and Invoke manually. I've tried the following code:

Hi I'm creating a .NET dll, which I will use in VB 6. I have no problem declaring methods, which will take a single Object, String, Integer and so on as a parameter. I manage even to transfer arrays of Strings and integer, but I fail to pass an array of Objects in a parameter. How do I declare a method, where one of the parameters is an Object array, in .NET, which I will use in VB6? Regards /Niklas

Hi From what I understand, you can pass arrays from classic ASP to .NET using interop, but you have to change the type of the.NET parameter to object. This seems to be because classic ASP passes a variant containing an array, and interop expects a parameter of type object if you are passing a variant (you are expected to cast it to the correct type in your code). I'd like to find a way of passing arrays so that you don't need to change...

I've got an out-of-process COM server (EXE) that I want to be able to control from Visual Basic. I can already control it from a C/C++ app without any issues. Under VBA in MS Access 2000, which I think is similar to VB6, I'm able to get things to work, but now under VB 2005 (Visual Studio 2005) I can't get the same to work. Here is what I'm doing: 1. Because the COM server only registers with the running object table, but doesn't...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
