Problem parsing XML

Hello,
I have an XML that looks like this (simplified):
<schemafile>
<schemalist module="xxxx">
<schema>
...
</schema>
<schema>
....
<schema>
</schemalist>
</schemafile>

I have the corresponding C# objects (simplified also):

[XmlRoot("schema file")]
public class Schemafile
{
private Module module;
[XmlElement("sch emalist", typeof(Module))]
public Module ModuleName
{
get { return module; }
set { module = value; }
}
}
public class Module
{
[XmlElement("sch ema", typeof(Setting) )]
public ArrayList SchemaList = new ArrayList();

[XmlAttribute("m odule", typeof(string))]
public string Name
{
get { return name; }
set { name = value;}
}
}

public class Setting
{
...
}
The object Schemafile is created with the right ModuleName. Module is
created with the right Name, but SchemaList is empty. Setting is created
correctly.

Every time I have something like this, ArrayList is always empty:
[XmlElement("ele ment", typeof(Element) )]
public ArrayList SomeList = new ArrayList();

I tried XmlArray, XmlArrayItem instead of XmlELement, it would just not
parse the file anymore.

I don't know what I am missing. I couldn't find similar examples on the web.

Thank you
Julien

I have the following XML string that I want to parse using the SAX parser. If I remove the portion of the XML string between the <audit> and </audit> tags the SAX is parsing correctly. Otherwise SAX wouldn't do the parsing. What's wrong with this string (between <audit> and </audit> tags)? I am using SAX/Xerces 2.3.0 on Sun 8. Thanks in advance of any help. Hi all, I am trying a parse a xml document containing japanese text by constructing a DOMBuilder object. The document created after parsing is empty. If the xml document does not contain japanese characters, the parsing goes thro' properly. Here is the sample document that is causing the problem. <root>

Hi all! since I'am used to work with matlab for a long time and now have to work with c/c++, I have again some problems with the usage of strings, pointers and arrays. So please excuse my basic question: I want to parse a string like "3.12" to get two integers 3 and 12. I wanted to use the function STRTOK() I wrote a main- and a subfunction like: main() {

Hello, First of all, this is a .NET 1.1 component I'm creating. SUMMARY ----------------------- This component that I'm creating is, for all intents and purposes, a document parser (I'm actually deserializing a SOAP document into an object and parsing out the fields, but that's fairly immaterial to this

Hi, I like a demo on layers posted at http://www.echoecho.com/csslayers.htm. It displays two text phrases in separate layers visually overlapped, first with one on top and the other beneath, and then vise versa. The site also provided the code they claimed produced this (overlapping) effect. I plugged their code into the body of a vanilla html shown below, but the items were not overlapped, neither with

Hi, I am having problems with a function that I have been using in my program to read sentences from a 'command file' and parse them into commands. the surprising thing is that the program works fine on some computers and not so fine on others. I tried debugging and cannot make any sense of it. I narrowed it down to the seekg function and made this simple program which (from what I understand) does not seem to be working as expected in all...

Hello, I'm facing a big logical problem while writing a parser in VC++ using C. I have to parse a file in a chunk of bytes in a round robin fashion. Means, when I select a file, the parser will read first 512kb(IBUFFSIZE) of data, then move to next file and parse the same way. This way I can parse a number of file spreaded over different directory uniformly. I'm keeping a meta data in a file where I'm keeping the track of file parse...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
