Is it possible to use the databrid as the flexgrid. I am
using vb .net in a smart device application. I have a
part number being entered by the user, I then want to
search the grid for that part number, if it is not there I
want to add it. I also want the ability for the user to
remove rows from the grid. The first problem is that this
data is not in any database. The second is that I am
developing a smart device application which...

I'm trying to create a custom control for a smart device, and all the
walkthroughs on msdn list a "Windows Control Library" project type under the
smart device application wizard. I don't have this project type option.
The only thing I could find on msdn was at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vbcon/html/vbconwindowscontrollibrarytemplate.asp
but this told me: "Note This project type is not...

I'd like to have a set of more-or-less common code which I want to use for
both desktop and smart device projects. I have two questions:
1. How can I set up conditional compile directives for those parts of the
code which are different on desktop and smart device projects
2. How can I actually share the same .cs source code files between the two
projects. If I try to open a smart device project and add the files which
are in the...

Are attributed ATL projects be supported under Whidbey for Smart Devices?
The New ATL Project dialog box doesn't have the 'Attributed' check box for
smart devices projects in Beta1, but Win32 desktop projects do have this
checkbox.
When I add a new class to my ATL Smart Device project and select for
instance an ATL Simple Object, I do have the possibility to generate an
attributed class. However, when I build I get the following errors:

Hi,
I use XP Pro and VS2005. I find when I create a new Website, I only see the
Project node not Solution. After I add sedcond project under the solution
tree, then I see the solution node.
How do I setup VS2005 to see the solution node after I create the first
project without adding the second project in the same solution?
Thanks

smart device project.

Perhaps a dumb question. I heard one hot features of VB 2005 is the
Edit and Continue (while in debug). I was taking a look at a team
version at university and tried to import a small vs2003 project. It
was read ok, but when debugging the editor is in read only mode.
Am I missing somewthing trivial. Is there some thing that has to be
switched ??

Hi,
I have an issue with publishing an application using Visual Studio
2005 click once functionality. Firstly, my project was written using
the smart client software factory. In my case all this means is my
screen is formed using user controls which are called smart parts.
These user control just get added to the It also means that my
project references a few dll's which are all part of my smart client
application. Secondly, I'm...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
