Hi All,
I'm hosting WSE 3.0 SoapService based web service, which uses Basic
authentication. Since, it's implemented from SoapService, a receiver
function receives the soapenvelope.
Client posts the soapenvelope using HTTP POST method. How can I get the
username and password used by the client?
What will happen if my web service is set to anonymous access enabled
and a user credential is passed along with the HTTP POST method?
TIA, 3 1069
Hi Anbu,
If you are using HTTP Basic authentication, you can get the current
credentials from the http headers,
Request.ServerV ariables("AUTH_ USER")
Request.ServerV ariables("AUTH_ PASSWORD")
If anonymous access is enabled, I am not sure if the client will send those
headers.

Thanks for your reply.
Setting up the anonymous access too provides these variables.
Thanks.

I know this is probably a faq but it is hard to search for this exact
problem.
When I put this on a php page:
<?
$link = mysql_connect("localhost", "cardini", "password")
or die("Could not connect : " . mysql_error());
echo "Connected successfully\n";
mysql_select_db("articles") or die("Could not select database");

Is this a bug in fx2? I expect they did not carry forward all the StartInfo
properties to api used with Username/Password. When you remove
UserName/password, the window does not show as expected.
private void button5_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
Process p = new Process();
p.StartInfo.FileName = "cmd.exe";
p.StartInfo.Arguments = @"/c dir c:\windows\system32";
p.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;

Hello,
I am trying to create a Webrequest. The used Uri is something like
"http://username@domain.com:password@www.shfgshfge.com".
Note that the username contains an "@"-character.
I tried two ways. Neither does work.
1. Directly creating an Uri:
Uri u=new Uri("http://username@domain.com:password@www.shfgshfge.com");

I'm modifying the WSE2 HOL sample to develop my web service. I'm able to get
the client application's username token encrypted on the way out
(outputTrace.webinfo), but not on receipt from the server
(inputTrace.webinfo).
The HOL manual mentions adding the wse:UsernameToken() to the
policyCache.config on the client, but not on the server. I have tried adding
this to the <confidentiality> section on the server but it still shows the...

Hello,
I am creating a sign on screen for my application in which I want to store
the username and password in a database table. I was thinking of putting a
combo box connected to the database to pull up the usernames and then having
a textbox for the user to enter their password.
Can someone tell me please how to compare the contents of the textbox to the
password in the database?

Hi All,
I use a website in asp for which I have to type a username and
password everytime I want to login.
On the form are two fields for typing the username and password and

I want to create an standard url for the website which includes my
username and password so I don't have to type it in everytime.
I looked at the page source but I can't find the right string.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
