This is regarding File System Watchers of .Net on Windows NT.
I think it works for win XP and 2000 machines.
I want to watch for events on a mapped drive in NT machine .The drive letter
is mapped to a Windows 2000 or a Windows XP machine.
If the drive letter is mapped to shared folder on the same machine , the
filesystem watcher is able to catch the events .However when the drive
letter is mapped to another machine(XP or 200),the...

Hello,
Im grabbing tables via VB code using visual foxpro ODBC drives.
The tables directory is in a mapped network drive. The code works fine
and does the job, however if the computer is idle for a while the
network drive apears to have a red X on the icon and the drive becomes
disconnected. this seems to effect the VB code from grabbing the
tables. I get an error saying the specific table cannot be found. If i
manually open the mapped...

I wrote a Visual Studio 2000 C# Windows application.
The application works fine on my local PC running Windows
2000 Pro, and it also works fine running on a server with
Windows 2000 Server. But when I ported the C#
application to a new Server running Windows 2003 Server,
I get this error... "Could not find a part of the path
X:\...".
I have several C# applications that run fine on Windows
2003 Server, only the C# applications that...

Hi All,
I am trying to access a mapped network drive from a service that I have
created.
The service needs to create/delete folders/files on a network drive. When I
tried to connect to a folder on mapped network drive (eg. N:\Storage that
corresponds to \\FS1NS\SharedDir\), I get an error as "Could not find part
of path N:\".

Hello All,
I am developing an application in visual basic 2005 that will run
continuously in the background on a users workstation. This application will
automatically transfer files from the local machine to a remote server and
vise versa. It checks for the files on a timed interval. I have two problems
with this application that I am having trouble figuring out:
The first problem is that the cmd.exe shell pops up on the screen every...

I am trying to run a web service that has pre-compiled dll's that reference
dll's that are on a mapped drive. The web service can not load because it
does not see that mapped drive and returns an error of "Can not file
specified module". Mapped drive is added to path.
Thanks,
Marc

Hello,
I developed the program for multi use. The program reads data from the
text file and puts modified data back to another file. This program
was uploaded to mapped network drive. When I try to run this program
from my computer (doesn't matter if it is on my local drive or on
mapped one) the program runs ok. When somebody else trying to run this
program from mapped drive, then they can not access this file. On
local drives it works...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
