I posted this request for help in Visio, troubleshooting
newsgroup and Installation newsgroup, about 1,5 months ago
but without result.
"I recently installed Visio .NET Enterprise Architect 2003
along with .NET Enterprise Architect 2003. This seems to
have been a mistake as I can no longer open Visio. When I
try to open Visio I get a progress bar saying "Please wait
while visio updates it's directory cache" Then I get a
message box...

I have Enterprise Architect VS 2002 AND Enterprise Architect VS 2003
installed. The problem is visio has married itelf to the 2002 version. How
do you switch it to the VS 2003 install? I've uninstalled and reinstalled
visio and it only shows up on the VS 2002 menu?

I need to do the following in C#:
1. Drop an arbitrary image from one control to another bitmap on another
control.
2. Interact with this shape (stretch it, rotate it, etc,) once on the
bitmap.
Really I want a poor man's Visio 2003 drawing control. Any example,

I am trying to create a windows application that will perform drag and drop
between a usercontrol on a toolbar and a "user document". As the user
control is being dragged accross the user document, I would like the image of
the user document to be displayed.
The behavior of the dragged item needs to be not unlike that of the cards in
solitare. I can do the standard drag & drop stuff but don't know how to
change the dragged items shape...

I tried to follow the tutorial in the Visio 2003 SDK which implements an
COM-AddIn for Visio 2003 in VB.Net. I used the VB Express (2005) version. I
could make the Template Wizard work and the MS example code compiles without
errors . My problem: I can't find out how to register the AddIn with Visio.
The method described in SDK-Tutorial docs doesn't work. in VB-Express It

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
