Hi,
we have some major GC issues at present with a system we're trying to
put live. It's a live calculation engine that's distributed across
about 30 Java server processes. A set of processes called
objectservers sit between the core infra and a Sybase DB. Two of the
main objectservers are set up with 2Gb Heaps as they need to cache
large amounts of objects and accept 500-600 incoming RMI connections
when heavily loaded. We're running the...

exist some module (from Jetcaps) to print barcode.
I´m programming an aplication in VC++, and I would like to print pages

If anybody know where can I find this information, or know something
about that, I would be gratefull for your help.

I have an asp.net application which loads a Crystal Reports
ReportDocument, passes in parameters for selecting data from the
report's database connection, renders the report for previewing on the
client then allows the user to print the report on a networked printer.
To avoid having to launch an external application on the client I use a
server-side print method. When I call ReportDocument.PrintToPrinter the
report comes out fine but the...

I've got a ~100 page document I assemble from ~30 OOo .odt files with some
search and replace functions. I then produce a PDF. So far so good.
Now I need to get a barcode from our internal website and insert that. The
barcode will vary based on some parameters. Our internal site provides a
..jpg image (or .gif) based on those parameters.
Can anyone provide a snippet or some pointers on how to do this. I've
googled it to death and...

Hi everyone!
Does anyone know what do I need (control or anything else) in order to
provide it with a number (fixed digits) and let it created a barcode for me,
which I could scan later using a scanner and produce that number back?
Thanks in advance!

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
