Are there any tools from microsoft or any 3rd party in the following
catagories
1. Functional Client/Server Testing
2. Functional Web Testing
3. Web Load Testing

In dotNet i see ATC as one of the testing tools.
I heard some other tools like winRunner, loadRunner and TestSuite.
Are these usable with dotNet? or, is there any link to the matrix that can

Microsoft.Patterns.EnterpriseLibrary.Data

I've written a web application that uses the M.P.E.D namespace to do
all of its data layer tasks (and a nifty bit of code M.P.E.D is too!).
However, unit-testing is proving a bit of a problem, as the database
factory complains...

Sorry for posting in this newsgroup.
We are developing a typical vb/sql server application, which will be used by
20 users. Our test engineers are manually testing the application, as and
when new changes are made in the application. We are looking for a good
testing/regression software,
(i) which should automate the repeatedly testing modules, so that we can
ensure that "the new changes" did not affect the existing system
(ii) should be...

HttpWebRequest.Create(String) doesn't return any error codes but it does
show exceptions
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/cpref/html/frlrfsystemnetwebrequestclasscreatetopic1.asp
When I run
REQUEST = Net.HttpWebRequest.Create(URI)
How do I test to see if it has worked? And if it didn't which of these
exceptions occured. I'd hope I don't have to do and if for each one
just in case.
Thanks

Hi, I'm a beginneer with testing proofs in dot net, I've just created certain
unit proofs, but now I'm wondering if it would be possible to create some
kind of "proof stack" where I could specify the execution order of these
proofs

Hi!
I've been programming in VB.Net and done testing with TypeMock and
MbUnit (Testdriven.net) for about 2months now at work. I can see that
my testing skills and particular my knowledge about the .NET
framework
is far too weak. Far to often I choose to implement custom stuff
that's already available to me from the framework, or I use the wrong
stuff from the framework. Also I feel that the whole concept of

How can I test a membership provider using a test project within VS 2005?
Basically I am stuck trying to read the custom app.config file I added to the
project with a <system.websection.
I think the testing environment is more structured than creating a web
application to test the provider.
Thanks a lot for any help.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
