I've attempted to upgrade to MySQL 3.23 to 4.0. MySQL 4.0 server is
working great, buy I couldn't get MySQL 4.0 client to install
properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are the steps
I followed:
1. Downloaded the server, client, and "Dynamic client libraries
(including 3.23.x libraries)" rpms.
2. rpm -Uvh --nodeps MySQL-server-4.0.20-0.i386.rpm

Hi,
This might seem like a basic question but I have some doubts, please
humour me.
I have a client-server application using java where each client on
each machine needs to directly communicate directly with the database.
Do I need a separate db2 connect on each such machine.
Please advice.

On an AIX server, I used the db2install script from the command line
to install the DB2 UDB 8.1 client. I applied the fix pak 7 to it. Now
I need to use the client to test connections to another AIX server
which has DB2 server and instances running. How do I proceed? Please
help.
Thanks,
Yasaswi

I have been developing a ClientServer application on one machine at my
office but the time has come to transfer it to the customer. The customer
is running a Windows 2000 local area network. I will keep a copy of the
applicaiton and all it's code on one of the client machines connected to the
local area network at the customers. This machine has a full blown copy of
Visual Studio 2003. SQL Server 2000 is the back-end, both at my office...

Hi,
I am a newbee. All our applications so far were traditional client-server
database applications. We are considering now writing our main application
with Visual Studio .NET. Basically we want to be able to install each
version of our software on one or two machines without having to meddle with
typically several hundred client computers. We understand that using the new
architecture we write server side code in C# or Visual Basic,...

Hi, I have the following version of DB2 installed on a server:
FP9a_WR21350_WSE.exe
I have 2 client computers with the DB2 Admin version
FP9a_WR21350_ADMCL.exe
I need to install the DB2 client on a third computer. Can I simply
install the fixpak by itself or do I have to first install the admin
client separately then install the fixpak on top of it? I think the
version number I have is DB2 V8.1.5.449.

Hello All,
We have installed UDB 9.5 on HP-UX IA64 machine. We would like to
install DB2 8.2 client on HP-UX PA-RISC V11.11. We want to install
only on HPUX V 11.11 since we have licensed version MF Cobol on this.
My question is: Can DB2 8.2 client talk to DB2 server 9.5?
Please let me know asap.

Helpful folks,
We recently upgraded DB2 V7 to V8 on Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition.
The plan is to migrate to V9 as soon as possible. In anticipation of
that migration, IT management has decided that all our user desktop
workstations (a few hundred) should be upgraded to the V9 runtime
client before we migrate the server to V9. This upgrade process will
be automated using a response file.
Our authentication model is set to CLIENT at...

First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...
