Invisible Lines and Rectangles in PDF File

Hi All,

Again I apologize for posting this topic at the wrong forum, because I
don't know where else I can get help on this matter.

This is about invisible lines and rectangles in a PDF file. Other
developers used "Active Reports" API in Visual Basic to create the PDF
file. Since they set some sections to "visible = false", the
lines/rectangles in those sections are therefore invisible in the PDF
file.

Now I have the PDF file with bunch of invisible objects. Could anyone
please tell me if there is a property in lines/rectangles that
distinguishes the invisible ones from the visible ones? In other words,
is there a method that can differentiate them programmaticall y?

Many thanks!

-Emily

Does anyone have a generic procedure for adding blank lines to reports like Sales details, PO details and/or Orders details. The procedure would need to count the number of line items, determine the remaining page to fill and print blank lines with the same number of fields as the line items. In addition, if there were a long list of line items that carried over to a second and possibly more pages, to print blank lines at the last page. The...

Hi, In my application every column of every line of a CheckedListBox must be fully displayed when the form is shown. Right now some columns of some lines are invisible until I focus on them, other lines have their top third chopped off. How can I make a CheckedListBox fully display everything? Thanks, Mark

Dear colleagues, I refer to your help with specific graphic problem. It is necessary to create a viewfinder in graphic application. It seems that the algorithm is simple: just draw lines in specific position in according to value of some controls, track bars, for example. Next read the track bars value to find the coordinates of lines cross. It works, but I can not get real cross because the background image is being deface by lines...

How do I make a panel control invisible, but still recieve events? I have a panel that I set visible= false, and over it I am using GDI+ to paint a grid of rectangles. It has to be invisble or else it covers up the GDI+. However, it is not firing the mousedown and up events while it is not visible. I am setting the visible property using VS through the properties window. I kind of anticipated that an invisble control would still...

I have a need to add a visual representation to some data in Access. I need to draw a matix of squares inside another square. I have all the data that I need in a record in Access. The data changes according to what the user inputs. I know that Access does not allow you to draw on forms so I decided to put the output in an Excel file for the user but I am having trouble drawing the rectange from Access. Here is my simple code so far: ...

I need a control that displays a grid of rectangles. That is, like a brick wall except the rectangles are lined up. In VB6 I used such a control (may have been called FlexGrid but I'm not sure.) I did see the DataGrid control but that seems oriented to DB usage. It's probably much more complex than what I need, but I'm not sure about that!

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
