Proxy generate lists instead of arrays?

Is there an option to get the proxy generator to generate lists for the
client instead of arrays?

for example

public partial class Foo {
public int[] bar;
}

would be instead:

public partial class Foo {
public List<int> bar;
}

This would be incredibly convenient for when the client has to modify
these fields...

Fred,

Modify web service code like this:

[XMLArray]
public List<int> bar;

I beleive that's what you need

That will work if you have control of the web service, but if you
don't...

Sorry, didn't understand..
I think what's in WSDL - is that what your proxy generator takes.
Perhaps you can do manual hacking? But I don't beleive it work since
definition not in WSDL

This may have been asked before but I can't find it. If I have a rectangular list of lists, say, l = ,,], is there a handy syntax for retrieving the ith item of every sublist? I know about for i in l] but I was hoping for something more like l. Hilde

I'm having some trouble using proxy authentication. I can't figure out how to authenticate with a Squid proxy. I know for a fact the proxy is using Basic instead of Digest for the authentication. I can authenticate just fine using Mozilla. I've done some Google searches, but the closest piece of code I've is is for HTTPBasicAuthHandler: # set up authentication info authinfo = urllib2.HTTPBasicAuthHandler()...

Hi, I have three enviroments; a development, a testing and a production enviroment. I'm making a big application (.exe), which uses alot of different webservices. I don't use the webservices by adding a WebReference, since it does not allow me to keep state (cookiecontainer) or to specify functions on the classes (like if i want to override the ToString() function on a class from my webservice). So the only way i can see how i can get...

Hi, I have a set of simple webservices calls that worked fine using .NET Framework 1.0. I am calling a Java/Apache based webservices, the calling side is not able to supply a proper WSDL. What it does is to call a webservice with two parameters, one being a integer, the other one being a "String" which contains XML (not the best practice, however that is the target interface and we cannot change that).

Web Services make use of proxy classes whose methods & properties are accessed in exactly the same way as how a normal class' methods & properties are accessed. So what for does ASP.NET generate proxy classes (using WSDL) which consume more hard disk space & resources? For e.g. consider the following code which exists in a user-defined class file: Imports System Imports System.Data

Pythonic lists are everything I want in a one dimensional array . . . but I'm trying to do a text adventure and simplify the proces by creating a grid as opposed to a tedious list of rooms this room connects to. So I want to know a good way to do a SIMPLE two dimensional array. Python's lists are a little confusing when it comes to how to do this. I realized that I could do list = * N ] * N

Hi folks! Everyone knows how to sort arrays (e. g. quicksort, heapsort etc.) For linked lists, mergesort is the typical choice. While I was looking for a optimized implementation of mergesort for linked lists, I couldn't find one. I read something about Mcilroy's "Optimistic Merge Sort" and studied some implementation, but they were for arrays. Does anybody know if Mcilroys optimization is applicable to truly linked lists at all?

I checked out the array module today. It claims that arrays are 'efficient'. I figured that this must mean that they are faster than lists, but this doesn't seem to be the case: ################ one.py ############## import array a = array.array('i')

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
